THE POSITIONS
All the positions are based in Iringa, Tanzania
FDT will pay a competitive salary based on skills and experience
An initial 2-year contract will be offered, renewable depending on performance and funding

MARKET AND POLICY MANAGER
This position will help to shape strategic direction, manage senior-level relationships, oversee implementation and provide leadership of the Markets and Policy component. Directly reports to the Trust Director.
Key qualifications and experience:
Higher education qualification in Economics, Forestry, Agriculture or Business
A minimum of ten years’ relevant work experience, 3 of which at managerial level
Experience and understanding of implementing market-based solutions in commercial forestry
TREE IMPROVEMENT RESEARCH MANAGER
This position will manage key roles in the Genetic Resources component aiming to facilitate cooperative tree improvement efforts and applied research. Reports to the Genetic Resources Director.
Key qualifications and experience:
High potential graduate with at least 5 years relevant work experience at management level
Deep understanding of tree improvement processes and role in business/economic development
Familiarity with East African forestry sector
