Julius Caesar wasn't Italian, says historian, he was a black man … from Africa

Controversial historian Mario Bonafini received hundreds of death threats and was actually forced into hiding after an unnamed insider leaked a pre-publication copy of his explosive new book, Julius Caesar Was NOT Italian.

And far from being a spoof, the book is backed up by decades of solid research that proves Caesar came to Rome from Ethiopia and was of black descent.

"I printed the truth, and if the truth hurts, so be it, " Dr. Bonafini told me in a trans-Atlantic telephone interview before death threats drove him into hiding late last month.

"Caesar rose to power and ruled a Roman empire that still stands as one of the greatest civilizations the world has ever seen.

"Italians have always been proud of the fact that they share a gene pool that produced such a man. But my research proves their pride is misplaced and without basis. Caesar categorically was not Italian. He was a black man from Africa."

According to Dr. Bonafini's research, Caesar arrived in Rome when his parents migrated north to what is now Italy around 100 B.C. The death of his parents during a flu epidemic in 98 B.C. left the toddling Caesar without a home.


By a twist of fate, he was adopted by the influential Roman family that produced a long line of Roman leaders, most of whom carried the generic title "caesar."

He went on to become the greatest ruler of ancient times, leading a society and culture that continues to influence our thinking about politics, architecture and the arts today.

Dr. Bonafini's book outraged fellow historian Franco Brugnoli, who doesn't dispute the controversial author's research - but argues that Julius Caesar "was a Roman at heart regardless of his genetic heritage or the color of his skin."

"Caesar was reared by Romans in Rome and in that sense, he was a Roman himself," Dr. Brugnoli told me exclusively. "It really doesn't matter who his parents were or where he was born."

While Dr. Bonafini remains in hiding, his book is poised to sell like hotcakes when - and if - it is released. A spokeswoman for publisher Francia-Samsa said: "This book will sell, make no mistake. The question is, are we willing to take the heat? It's going to be racially incendiary to say the least."

Julius Caesar was a black man?? I dunno, it sounds a bit far fetched, kinda reminds me of that other story which claimed Cleopatra was black.
But if he was black then surely he must have had a lighter skin tone than most black people, I'm sure all the histories in the world would not have missed out such an important detail when recounting his conquests.
Also all the artists and sculptors who created paintings and carvings of his image surely could have not been color blind or perhaps he ordered them to depict him as a white man?? No that doesn't even sound right, I say this is pure bullsh*t.

The raw values in Table 6 suggest that Egyptians had the "super-Negroid" body plan described by Robins (1983).. This pattern is supported by Figure 7 (a plot of population mean femoral and tibial lengths; data from Ruff, 1994), which indicates that the Egyptians generally have tropical body plans. Of the Egyptian samples, only the Badarian and Early Dynastic period populations have shorter tibiae than predicted from femoral length. Despite these differences, all samples lie relatively clustered together as compared to the other populations." (Zakrzewski, S.R. (2003). "Variation in ancient Egyptian stature and body proportions". Paradox,

Cleopatra was part of foreign greek invaders who invaded egypt, so very few serious african scholars are interested/ argue about her race( although she may have a mixed african/european ancestry).Ancient Egypt was a black african civilisation from its bgginings in 3100bc to its ends around 700bc. And this is what serious scholars maintain and reafirm especially when in hollywood movies ancient egyptians are depicted as whites/asiatics( if you did not know this fact , go back to school and reread ancient african history.)

Yes african history has been whitewashed. You know saint Maurice who is the patron saint of Germany? His original paintings were black and he was always described as black, but after the 19th century, paintings of a 'white' sait Maurice began to appear although his originals were as black as pitch and can be found in germany today.

So do not believe whatever you read in european history and blabber it like a parrot without further investigation.Do research then you will not be deceived.
 
If Julius Ceasar was a blackman, he is not alone, Aesop was black, Pushkin was black, Queen Nefertiti was black and many others. It is also believed that some influence royal families in Europe, between 1590-1620 had a blood of a blackman running in their nerves. But one key question we should us ourselves does that add any value to our daily life? Or if the whites discover that in the 10th or the 12th Century have a black ancestors does that make them any different? (Many people in Great Britain with family name BROWN have a blackman's blood in their linage).

The Pharaoic Egypt was inhabited by black people. There is ample evidence even today to prove this. Witness the sculptures of Pharaohs and more evident still is the statue of the Sphinx whose head shows typical African features.
 

My mention of Cleopatra in my last post was merely an after thought.
The basis of the entire topic is a discussion on Julius Caesar's ethnic background, I wonder were you even got the idea that Egyptian history has any part in my post and regardless, I never said ancient Egyptians weren't black, I simply said Cleopatra couldn't have been black as the reasons you mentioned above clearly state, I never disputed anyone's claims in the entire thread on that particular subject.
Don't patronize my knowledge of History so readily while jumping on irrelevant subjects which I never spoke about to begin with.

You Sir should stop blabbering irrelevant common knowledge like a parrot in an effort to achieve God knows what in a public forum.
Further more if Julius Caesar was indeed black then fine, perhaps History has been white washed, perhaps all his sculptures and paintings were made to depict him as a white man, But who can know for sure?? My post was based on personal opinion, that is all, if however your personal opinion differs from mine then that is also just peachy.

I don't know about being black or not, I know he certainly wasn't Italian. It doesn't take much thought to figure out this obvious fact.
