So be sure to follow general safety tips like being aware of your surroundings, only walking and parking in well-lit areas, keeping your keys in hand as you approach your door or car, varying your route and times of travel, and other personal security precautions.

Apart from avoiding confrontation, if you can defuse a situation (talk someone down from physically assaulting you) or get away—by handing over your wallet/purse or whatever they want, do that. Hand over your money rather than fight. Nothing you own is worth more than your life or health.

If violence is unavoidable, however, to really defend yourself, you’ll want to know ahead of time how to fight back effectively—it’s possible even against someone bigger or stronger than you.

Kwa tabia hii ya polisi lazima tuwaeleze wanasiasa wote kwamba, waonyesheni washika silaha wote kwamba hawako juu ya sheria. Binadamu siyo mwema kama utamfanya kuwa juu ya sheria. Tumeona raia wakipigwa hovyo hovyo eti tu kwa sababu askari kaporwa lakini raia akiporwa hakuna anayepigwa. Mtindo huo umewafanya askari kujiweka kundi la kipekee. Naamini wanajielewa kwamba hawatakiwi kuchezewa. Ni miamba.

Kumuua msafiri ndani ya daladala! Risasi hewani, hewa ya usawa wa daladala bado mtu wa ngazi ya juu anasema ni bahati mbaya. Ukishasema ni bahati mbaya unaanza kumuondolea makosa mkosaji. Lakini, mbele ya wazazi wa marehemu haiwezi kuwa bahati mbaya. risasi hairuki yenyewe! Tumeona kila wakati Polisi akiuwawa huchukulia kwamba ni msiba mzito sana kuliko wao wanapoua raia asiye na hatia.

Hisia yangu ni kwamba Polisi hufanya haya yote kwa umwamba kwamba hatuchezewi. Ni kuonyesha kwamba hawawahitaji raia na kama wanasiasa pia watawaona polisi ni kinga yao ya lazima hata ktk makosa makubwa kiasi hiki, basi raia tutakwisha. Siasa zipo, maandamano hayakuanzia TZ, yapo kote. kwa maana hiyo wataendelea kutumia risasi za moto kutawanya waandamanaji.
