In recent days i have been following the trend of media regarding entrepreneurship, it seems we have changed the swahili name mfanyabiashara to Mjasiliamali. The way i think an entrepreneur is more than a mere business person.
There are many theories regarding entrepreneurship but the one which i think makes more sense is the one which state that Entrepreneurship is a creative and innovative response to the environment. In other words an entrepreneur is an innovator who introduces something new into the economy, new method of production not yet tested by the experience in the branch of manufacture concerned. It should be taken into account that this include making better existing products or methods of production.
As far as i can see in our country i don't see any innovation or creativity regarding business undertaking, nowadays people are going to Asia particularly China picking fake staff at low price and selling and making huge profit at the expense of poor Tanzanian people, is that what we call entrepreneurship?
I leave this question to Jf members, let's discuss we may reach consensus rather than letting the media to mislead us.
