[h=2]Iran equips Navy with new coast-to-sea missiles[/h]
On the threshold of the Navy Day in Iran (November 28), on which the Islamic Republic commemorates a major Iranian naval victory over Iraq during the 8-year imposed war by the US, a large cargo of coast-to-sea missiles was delivered to the navy.
According to IRIB, speaking at the ceremony that his ministry equipped the Iranian Army's naval force with newly produced coast-to-sea missile systems, Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi stressed the country's military and arms programs to serve defensive purposes.
The Iranian Defense Ministry supplied large numbers of the newly produced powerful ant-ship cruise missiles to the naval forces of the Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) to boost Iran's naval power.
General Vahidi said the missiles, which enjoy short launch time and are able to hit all naval vessels, including frigates and warships, as well as onshore enemy targets, will give a crushing response to any threats by the enemies.
