Ever realized that you could actually learn from the music? Well, here's the proof. It's a De La Soul's gem called 'Trying People', from the album AOI: Bionix which was released in 2001. I chose the last verse (Pos'), and i've tried to break it down, metaphorically, in Kiswahili ofcourse (I really tried). Absorb whatever you can, and dope track this one.

"Throughout my change to grow, Some of my people got left behind/
They didn't listen for the gun, as I leaped from off the line/"

Kwenye maisha kuna wale ambao watakuwa sharp katika kufukuzia na kuzifikia ndoto zao, halafu wapo wale ambao watasinzia na kubaki kuwatazama wenzao.

"Thirteen years deep in this marathon, I'm runnin/
Paid dues, and still got bills to pay/"

"When I came back around the way/
Old friends gave me dead eyes, and fake smiles, half wide/
We were supposed to rid the world of danger/
These days we nod heads, and small talk like polite strangers/"

"It's natural to fall off, just land close to the tree/
I'll be there if they need me to be/"

"and I know all my local shorties, cuz they all know who I am/
and latey wanna flip grammar, instead of grams... Like that's the only choice they got/
They tell me how they gonna shake up the game, but came to me to see if I could give em guidance for change/
Shit y'all, I need guidance myself"

Kwenye maisha kuna wale ambao hawaumizi vichwa vyao, kwao wanasubiri wengine wafanye halafu wao wa-copy.

"and I chisel right words to make gems/
Got fans around the world, but my girl's no one of em/
And my relationship's a big question/
Cuz my career's a clear hindrance to her progression/
Said she needs a man, and our kids need a father/
I'm not at all ready to hear her say don't bother, and break....
And this I know I can't take/ but uhh..."

Unajua fika haupo tayari kuwapoteza kwa sababu ni watu muhimu kwenye maisha yako. so what you do?

"C. Smith said to hold on
My brother Luck said to hold on
My nigga Dave said to hold on
My nigga Mase said to hold on
Yo, Maseo, we need to hold on
Eh, yo, y'all we need to hold on"

Hook
Pos] People are you ready?
[Children] Yes we're ready!

Well, what you wanna be?
We wanna be ready!

Do you wanna lose hate for love?
Yes!

Do you wanna see these gates above?
Yes!

I said people are you ready?
Yes we're ready!

But are you willing to try?
We wanna try harder!

Do you really wanna carry some weight?
Yes!

Are you ready to design your fate?
Yes!

Happy Eid y'all.

Happy Eid y'all.

I was reading a book by a very wise Teacher/Master, in the book he stress the need of having an institution a school rather which teaches the Art of Living.
Where is there such a school, one that adopts definite meaning for developing the whole nature of a Man, teaching him the true art of life and fitting him to go through the various minor tests and ultimately the final examination of life?
Anasema zaidi such schools are needed to teach the arts and sciences of all round growth.
Katika psychological fixation anasema kuwa a victim of psychological fixation become one sided in persuit of happiness. They begin to think that money is happiness, or that fame is happiness, or health, or power. They sacrifice everything else youth, reputation, peace of mind - - on the altar of of their all consuming ambition. They learn too late that a balanced life is what they need.

Let us take on this life with cool calm and collected attitude.

Happy Eid!

They say its a White man I should fear, but its my own kind doing all the killing here.....I'd rather die like A MAN than living like a coward.

Dude was something.

"Just think of all the people that you knew in the past/
That passed-on, they in heaven found peace at last/
Picture a place that they exist, together/
There has to be a place better than this, in heaven/
So right before i sleep, dear God what i'm asking/
remember this face, save me a place, in thugs mansion/"

"Cops give a damn about a Negro,
pull a trigger, kill a nigga, he's a hero" .
Fast forward years later, Mike Brown and Trayvon Martin.

Wonder if heaven z got a ghetto??!!!

I think this is great reminder how music is real and how it touches every inch of our lives! I also think that the old songs are better in terms of lyrics and messages to the people..old is always gold'''':bowl:'

These days it is all about the beat according to Eminem, fewer and fewer music songs have inspiring and teaching lyrics===
