Hii ni kozi ya afya ambayo inatolewa na chuo cha muhimbili kwa hapa Tanzania, ni kozi ya muda wa miaka mitano (first degree), inayotoa wataalamu katika afya ya meno na kinywa yaani madaktari wa meno.
The DDS is competency-based programme covering ten semesters (five years) leading to
the DDS degree of this University followed by a year’s internship at an approved
hospital. The first four semesters of the programme are devoted to basic sciences and
community training. The next six semesters are largely clinical/ practical consisting of
intensive clinical clerkship in different departments and community health.

Admission / Entry Requirements Three principal passes in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum entry of 8 points, whereby one must have at least C grade in Chemistry and Biology and at least D grade in Physics.
RESPONSIBILITIES
A Dentist can carry out most dental treatments such as restorative, orthodontics, prosthodontic, endodontic therapy, periodontal therapy, and oral surgery, as well as performing examinations, taking radiographs and diagnosis.
