3 weeks ago, senior Ministry of Education officials approached the Makini School - State House branch to have them prepare a welcome performance for President Obama.

The 40 pupils from age 6 - 10 did all they could, even suspending their revisions for exams, to rehearse their lifetime performance for President Obama.

As the kids were working hard, someone at State House was plotting how to crush their dreams. They realised this after their initial scheduled performance for President Obama during arrival was cancelled. But they still had hopes as senior MoE officials led by Ruth Agesa (Deputy Director) visited them on Friday. They were assured of performing for President Obama during the official State House welcome.

The pupils even prepared brand new attire for the performance which was to be led by their music teacher, Mr Isindu. The Ministry of Education team brought with them State House passes and told the parents that they would need to know that if allowed entry into State House, they'd use the cars already registered in the security database and not any other.

Come Saturday, the pupils were up early waiting for their chance to be picked from their school. They assembled in their school and, together with their parents, waiting for the time. The children were to perform after the guard of honour.

The kids waited. Later in the afternoon, they saw Obama's motorcade pass. They couldn't move as most of the roads, especially those around State House, were closed for the better part of the day. The kids waited till late in the evening. None of the officials including Dennis Itumbi, Wanjohi, Ruth Agesa, Ted Kwaka etc... were picking calls. These children admire President Obama but they were disappointed by the confused State House team.

They later saw Sautisol performing in State House and wondered why they didn't have a chance but Sautisol got the chance? The parents have no answers because nobody has communicated to them or their parents and teachers what really happened. Their dreams were crushed and the drunken dance by Sautisol just rubbed salt into their wounded souls. ccRuth Agesa Thomas BigTed Kwaka U.S. Embassy Nairobi The White House Makini School (Pre-School, Primary & Secondary)

fame inatafutwa kuwa udi na uvumba! mambo ya jua kali na mpango wa pembeni haya! doh! If Sautisol wants to be famous they should earn that via their work i.e. they should lock up themselves and compose good music! and not via this ruthless and evil means! Their desperation is now exposed and fans like me are having a bad image...
