This gorilla is driving Japanese women crazy
A ‪#‎gorilla‬ in ‪#‎Japan‬ is so seemingly handsome that it has got female zoo-goers head over heels in love with him.
Shabani the gorilla, who lives in Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Nagoya, has been causing a stir online since his photos were posted on Twitter this March. Netizens, mostly women, said that they were captured by Shabani’s especially serious looks and masculine poses. They even started to call the gorilla “ikemen,” a word used for good-looking men in Japanese.
According to the staff at the Higashiyama Zoo, Shabani has unsurprisingly become the zoo’s star. His doorsteps are packed with visitors, the number of which has doubled since he became famous.
The 18-year-old gorilla grew up at a zoo in Sydney and was moved to Japan in 2007. (cctv)
