Uganda's national women's 3x3 basketball team, the Gazelles, have booked their place in the semi-finals of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games after a commanding 21-12 victory over Tonga.
The Gazelles produced another dominant display, controlling the game from start to finish to secure their place among the tournament's final four. Uganda's aggressive defense and efficient scoring proved too much for Tonga, as the team comfortably sealed the nine point win.
The victory continues Uganda's impressive run in the competition and keeps alive the country's hopes of winning a Commonwealth Games medal in the fast paced 3x3 basketball event.
With a place in the last four secured, the Gazelles will now shift their focus to the semi-finals, where they will be aiming to move one step closer to Commonwealth Games glory.
