Former Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) members Hamza Lyavaala and Walusansa Adiil have again pleaded guilty to murder charges arising from two fake bomb incidents at Munyonyo Martyrs Shrine and Kalerwe Market on June 3, 2025.

The two, who later became state informers, had initially pleaded guilty but subsequently asked court to allow them to take plea afresh as the case approached sentencing.

They have now indicated that they wish to maintain their guilty pleas, prompting court to schedule November 2, 2026, for their sentencing.

The latest development came on a day court had been scheduled to rule on their application to take plea afresh.

Lyavaala and Adiil are jointly charged with Lt Col Ephraim Byaruhanga, who has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
