Dubai ina Flyover za ukweli lakini huwezi sema zilichukua miezi 3 au 6, make ukubwa wake (upana na urefu) ni karibu na mtaa mzima. Dar hii hii au nyingine? Flyover za aina hiyo zitajengwa wapi? wakati hata kubomoa majengo wameshindwa?

Flyover ya Tazara inayoanza kujengwa sasa itachukua miaka mitatu kukamilika.
 
Wizara ya Ujenzi, Uchukuzi na Mawasiliano imeanza mazungumzo na Kampuni ya MABE BRIDGE ya Uingereza kwa ajili ya kujenga barabara za juu (fly over) saba katikati ya jiji la Dar es Salaam ili kupunguza msongamano wa magari.

Waziri wa Ujenzi, Uchukuzi na Mawasiliano Profesa Makame Mbarawa, amesema mazungumzo kuhusu ujenzi huo yako katika hatua nzuri na kwa kuanzia zitajengwa fly over nne za watembea kwa miguu na tatu za magari.

Amesema Fly over hizo zitazojengwa zitatumia miezi mitatu hadi sita kukamilika kwakwe na zitagharamiwa na fedha za ndani za Serikali ambapo ujenzi wake unatarajiwa kuanza Desemba mwaka huu.

“Wataalamu wanaendelea kubaini maeneo yatakayojengwa fly over hizo ikiwemo eneo la Mwenge ambalo tayari wataalamu wamekubali kujenga fly over moja ya magari”, amesema Prof. Mbarawa.

Hatua hiyo ni mkakati wa Serikali kupunguza msongamano wa magari jijini Dar es Salaam unaogharimu fedha nyingi kutokana na watu kupoteza muda mwingi barabarani.

Katika hatua nyingine Waziri Prof. Mbarawa amekagua maendeleo ya utoaji huduma katika Daraja la Nyerere na kuagiza vitengenezwe vitambulisho vya msimu vitakavyowawezesha watumiaji wa daraja kulipa tozo kwa miezi sita au mwaka ili kupunguza msongamano wa kulipa kila siku.

“Hakikisheni mnatengeneza na kuuza kadi za kuvukia katika daraja sehemu mbalimbali ili kuwawezesha watumiaji kupata huduma hiyo kabla ya kufika darajani”, amesema Prof. Mbarawa.

Aidha amemtaka Mtendaji Mkuu wa Daraja la Nyerere Bw. Gerald Sondo kuhakikisha tozo zinakusanywa inavyostahili na kupanga njia maalumu za kupita magari makubwa na madogo ili kuwezesha huduma ya kupita darajani iwe ya haraka.

“Magari yote yanayopita katika daraja hili yakiwemo ya Serikali ni lazima yalipe tozo inayostahili isipokuwa yale yenye vibali maalumu yakiwemo ya Jeshi la Wananchi, Zimamoto, Polisi, na yanayobeba wagonjwa (Ambulance)”, amesisitiza Waziri Prof. Mbarawa.

Waziri Mbarawa amesisitiza umuhimu wa wananchi kutunza na kulilinda Daraja hilo ili lidumu kwa muda mrefu na kusisitiza adhabu kali kwa wataohujumu miundombinu yake.

Naye Mtendaji Mkuu wa Daraja la Nyerere Bw. Gerald Sondo amemueleza Waziri Mbarawa kuwa chanagamoto zinazowakabili kwa sasa ni kubaini magari yenye vibali maalumu, malalamiko ya magari ya abiria (daladala), uelewa mdogo wa matumizi ya daraja na mazoea ya kupita bila ya kulipa tozo.

Zaidi ya magari elfu nane hadi elfu kumi na tatu hupita katika daraja hilo kwa siku huku watembea kwa miguu, baiskeli wakipita bila kulipa tozo.
