Watu 5 wameuawa siku ya Jumamosi usiku na watu waliohisiwa kuwa majambazi eneo la Kapedo katika mpaka wa Kaunti za Baringo na Turkana ambako kuna mgogoro mkubwa kati ya jamii za Turkana na Pokot.
Kwa mujibu wa wenyeji, shambulio hilo ni la kulipiza kisasi baada ya tukio la kwanza ambapo mtu mmoja aliuawa na idadi isiyofahamika ya mifugo kuibwa huko Lokori siku ya Ijumaa.
Majeruhi walikimbizwa Hospitali ya Chemolingot na maiti kupelekwa Mochwari ya Hospitali ya Kabarnet.
Hofu inaendelea kutanda katika eneo hilo hata wakati huu ambapo KDF inafanya oparesheni ya kutokomeza majambazi katika eneo hilo ambalo lilishafanywa kuwa chni ya uangalizi mkali.

Five people were on Saturday, April 29 night killed by suspected bandits in Kapedo area at the boarder of Baringo and Turkana counties in fresh rivalry between the Turkana and Pokot communities in the region.
According to residents, the attack was a retaliatory to an earlier one which saw one person killed and unknown number of livestock stolen in Lokori area on Friday, April 28.
The injured were rushed to the Chemolingot Hospital while the deceased’s bodies were removed to Kabarnet Hospital Mortuary.
One middle-aged woman is currently nursing gunshot injuries at the Baringo County Referral Hospital.
Tension remains high in the area even as KDF servicemen continue with the operation to flush out bandits in the area that was gazetted as a security zone.
