You can ratify everything you want but at the end of the day each country will carry its own burden. On terms limits, I think they are overrated. Not to say that I don't want them. Liberia And Sierra Leon wameshindwa kukumbana na ebola na wako na vingozi waliochaguliwa kidemokrasia na hizo term limits. Lakini ebola ikifika Uganda kama hapo kitambo kidogo, M7 will deal with it like a piece of cake. Hii sio kumtetea M7 kwa kila jambo. Kenya hatukuwai fikiria kuwa Moi atawai toka madarakani.

EU closely resembles a confederation where there are no protections for small countries like Greece from powerful countries like Germany as is the case within the USA federation.

Land is just but one of the factors of production, very few people in the US own land. A good number owns intellectual property worth lots of money. This should not be taken to mean that I don't want land justice in EA countries because land is a controversial issue in all EA countries. I don't think anyone would want to make it an EAC issue.

very hard for ethiopia to join eac. system of government is very different from eac. ethiopian government is extremeley protectionist because ethiopia lacks competitive privately owned businesses. the government runs almost everything. pia lazima tukumbuke culture and ethnicity plays a big part. at a personal level ethiopians would be more comfortable uniting with eritrea, somalia and north sudan once the tension in the horn dies off. culture and ethnicity is why turkey is being frustrated by the eu but officials cannot say it publicly. ingawa ethiopians are not as prejudiced as somalis or sudanese, many horn of africa peoples consider other africans inferior. we saw how southern sudanese suffered discrimination under the sudan government.

No where did I vouch for dictatorship, I was just highlighting a specific point that in the process of adopting this western democracy we forget everything else. In Africa it means you have won the ownership of the country. We pay 100% attention to elections and 0% to good governance. Even in the countries you mentioned governance is not that good. My point is 99% focus should be on good governance, 1% on elections.

Wakenya wameshaliona hilo na wameshaanza kudai eti size ya uchumi iwe ni kigezo pia cha kuchagua viongozi.....ha! Eti leaders (senators and MPs) shall be chosen as per economic size?!

Siku hizi madini yanapatikana nchi zote EA ikiwemo, rare earth na mafuta Kenya, iron ore Uganda, Tanzania, sidhani kuna mtu ana wakati kuangalia na kupatwa na wivu kwa gesi na madini ya mwingine.

Hadi sasa sijaona mahali ambapo geographical size au kiwango cha uchumi imependekezwa na yeyote kutumiwa kuchagua wawakilishi kwenye federal government . Hio haitakuwa political federation .Mambo kuhusu size ya uchumi yaliashawekwa kwenye monetary union. Kama iko tuwekee link hapa.
