Economist yet again rip apart Magufuli & describe his leadership a FAILURE

Mkikuyu Akili-Timamu..there is a difference between communism and sicialism..show me where i have stated jubilee is turning to communism..look,kenya has experimented liberal capitalism since independence..the results have been a mixed bag..both success and failure..as such there is need for market correction in basic neccesities which are core to the common folk such as housing, health care, food security..social welfare is not communism..it just stresses the need for equality as the core for government economic policies..this is a standard practice across capitalist nations from USA to germany, france,UK etc etc

The main characteristic of communist is central planning..Like what galana kulalu is and what the new housing scheme will be..
What business is for a gov to build houses? That is the work of enterprenures! You forcefully tax people then build them communal houses they have not asked for and wouldnt even want to live in such cattle pen situations..
Even tanzania does not subscribe to such mediocrity, they let their enterprenures do their work

Mkikuyu Akili-Timamu...you are not getting..i repeat communism and socialism are two different ideologies...socialism stresses the need for equality and social welfare as the core of government economic policies...mostly social welfare touches on basic needs such as housing, healthcare and food security...FYI in america those three are heavily subsidised by the government despite America being a foul, dirty and bastard capitalist state...bronx housing in New york comes to mind...while else in COMMUNISM major components of the nations economy such as telecommunications, transportation and some heavy industry are in the hands of the government...like what magufuli is trying to do...you see, only few countries in africa can balance between capitalism and social welfare..thats a preserve of developed economies...surely we are onto path of shared prosperity by 2030

Its doesnt matter whether you use the term communism or socialism..The CENTRAL PLANNING aspect is what you said does not work and I agree with it..Yet Jubilee boneheads Go ahead with such idiotic things as Galana Kulalu,I donno communal houses etc..Then you are here telling us you voted for those idiotic CENTRAL PLANNING policies and that even though they failed everywhere they are good perhaps because they are being done by your tribal party
You are simply confused

There is big difference btw communism and socialism. Kenya has always been a socialist & capitalist state - it had it brand of socialism - that Mboya and Kibaki captures in Sessional Paper named "Africa Socialiasm" - and whose foundation is harambee spirit of Africa socialism.
So you admit jubilee is using communist policies that failed everywhere even in Tanzania? And in your right mind you voted for them? Hahahaha

Every gov has some form of central planning in form of budget making. The difference btw communist state like Tanzania of Nyerere and Kenya is that gov is the only PLANNER & Executioner. If you look at Kulalu - gov plan was to build the infrastructure around the 1M acre farm - start a model farm of 10,000 acres - and then lease out the rest of the land - 1M acres to PRIVATE INVESTORS who will then grow maize, sugar and anything. The same is true for other irrigation systems in Kenya - where gov leases it's land to farmers & provide the water in the canals. Obviously Kulana-Galana has mostly failed because river Kulalu/Galana just doesn't enough run-off water - and gov has to build a huge dam upstream for this to make sense. There is also lack of political will for this to succeeded that would be critical as propaganda and misinformation took center stage. The Isrealis have no option now but basically abandon it.

I am not intrested in terms, the issue your friend raised is Central planning an economy..This has failed everywhere..And jubilee is master of those kind of projects that are riddled with corruption and have mostly failed

And by the way the government is not eating into those sectors...it is simply standardising...for instance Nairobi alone has an annual housing demand of 200,000 units..the private sector is only able to plunge 50,000 units mostly high end due to lucrative returns...the defficit keeps on piling year in year out until people start finding shelter in inhumane settlements such as kibera...this is where the government is coming in,to plunge defficit and provide affordable housing for the poor..surely wewe Mkikuyu Akili -Timamu huwezi hili linafaa...but this proves you are just a bitter hater..enough..

None of what you says is central planning. Not even in housing - where GOV is providing Land & infrastructure - private developers are building houses - and whoever get their salary deducted is eligible to buy those house for 1-3m shs. Obviously it would be nice to eventually remove the forced housing levy - - but for now - I think Gov is right to use coercion.

The major characteristic of huge gov projects that want to centraly plan production is corruption and failure..This is not unique in kenya but everywhere central planning was done..
But it better that now you admit jubilee policies are the same as what soviet union tried and failed

This is excatly what has brought down venezuela..Govenments should create the environment for enterprenures to build many houses and through competition the prices go down..But A goverment building houses for the poor is a venezuelan - hugo chavez failed policy! The poor dont need food housing or anything, they need jobs and income to build their own homes

Mkikuyu Akili-Timamu...the government is not going full throtle building houses from the scratch to topping out..its simply jump starting the momentum by providing infrastructure and land to worthy investors..the investor would do his thing and recoup his investments over a period of time through rent and/or sales...the burden eases on the side of common folk due to government intervention..like i said its market correction....once the balance is optimal then the forces of demand and supply would be directly proportional...these would reduce slum housing menace

We know that already. He already clamped down on press like any washed up dictator does.

I am more interested in your OWN rebuttal of Economist article.

I guess you agree with Economist that Maguful is NOTHING BUT A DISASTER - and GOD help TZ if he continues for another 5yrs. And sadly it appears he will be doing 10yrs of DAMAGE to TZ and region politics & economy.

CCM really messed up big time there when they settled for unknown little Magufuli just because they didn't like Kikewete didn't like Lowassa.
Ati ten years of damage, let me laugh out loud. In three years we've seen his massive achievements, one amongst them was, taking the Ug oil pipe from your failed state. After ten yrs you will wish you had JPM, knowing well that many of your sane country men want him now.

Its not the work of government to do real estate business the same way its not the GoT business to do cashewnut business whether part time or full throttle..
Business is best left to enterprenures.
What jubilee followers like you dont do is admit mistakes because your affliation is not intellectual but tribal

Centrally planned economies like what magufuli is trying for tanzania have collapsed in most parts of the world....look, freedom alone may not guarantee economic success...but repression most certainly guarantees economic failure...this has already started to manifest in Tz..when you start clamping on media and forcifully closing liberal forex bureaus...you are definately flying into failure...its already full blown in sudan...they started exactly same way tanzania is presently..the indispensable element remaims freedom...unfortunatanetly freedom and CCM cannot be used in one sentence...
I visited Tz this week and i can tell you businessmen are busy complaining about the state of the economy and how magufuli is busy targeting them, some hav shifted base to nairobi for fear of being jailed

Mkikuyu Akili-Timamu...again the government is not doing real estate..they are encouraging joint ventures/private public patnership..there is an urgent need for that..look,land availability remains one of the mojor hindrances to adequate housing projects yet most state corporations and ministries posses vast idle land...the state is simply availing idle land to private developers to allow them construct low cost homes and redirect land acquisition budget towards construction of more social housing,by the way,the affordable housing scheme has 4 dinstinct categories..the outright down trodden common folk is the one who will be considered in social housing schemes akin to the venezuelan model..not everybody as you are purpoting...this will be a win win for everybody

500,000 houses to be supposedly built by GoK and funded by the new housing tax is more than what enterprenures build in a year. This is central planning with its charateristics of corruption, inefficiency and failure..The so called common folk dont need to be given houses, they only need jobs and income and they will build themselves

Galana Kulalu was a central planning method of increasing maize production, Housing scheme is aimed at increasing number of units available..But as with all central planned projects, the result is corruption and failure...We all remember the hype and psydo- intelligent explanations we got from jubilee worshipers like you on galanakulalu, but its all communist propaganda

Economist invested heavily in Magufuli but seems like no turnover any sooner, among other Propaganda mechanisms on the Acacia's payroll thriving to lock this spirit down, I can see Tanzania on the horizons like never before 😎 Magufuli the Masterpiece keep rocking. 👍
