East African Federation (EAF) public Views

Facts are that Tanzanians do believe there is progress in an expanded market。Just like it was in the last EAC. It is not a new realization as you term it. We know it. The arguments are largely against it, rather how and at what condition should we join. Which I think is genuine.

And it is not “especially Kenya”. Arguments about who need another more of another not useful, we should be saying we need each other.

What a stupid assertion! Who told you that Tanzanians are realising that Kenya is the only partner they have got? To the contrary, Tanzanians are rapidly coming to the realisation that Kenya is good for nothing. What most of the Kenyans have in common is bragging, bragging...and arrogance that they have this and that... and that they are a super power of this part of Africa. What a shame! You rely on outdated and cooked economic statistics then you brag that you are a big boy?

Kenya, you need Tanzania and the rest of East Africa. You shouldn't fool yourself that you don't need Tz.

Kuongea kiingereza sio kwamba watu wameendelea na wanaweza kufanya kazi kwa ufanisi mkubwa. Nimebahatika kufanya kazi na wakenya ambao wanaongea kiingereza vizuri lakini hawajui kazi, pia wapo wakenya ambao wamekwenda shule kama mimi na wengineo ambao wanafahamu wanachofanya.

Mkakati uwekwe ili wakalimani wa kiswahili na kiingereza hasa kwa makampuni yanayowekeza ili yaweza kutoa ajira kwa watanzania bila upendeleo wa lugha. Tanzania inasifika kwa kuwa na lugha yake.

Achana na nchi ambazo kasumba ya lugha imewatawala, Maendeleo ya Kenya ni kiini macho ambacho sasa kinaonekana baada ya nchi nyingi za magharibi kugeuza kibao. (utitili wa watalii sasa wamegundua kwamba mambo yote Bongo hivyo ndugu zetu wanataka kuharakisha hii jumuiya waendelee kufaidi)
Hadi hivi sasa bado viongozi wengi wa kenya wanatangaza vivutio vya Tanzania kama ni mali yao, uongo huu unafikia ukingoni.

Tusiyumbe na kubabaishwa na huu muungano (Federation) ambao kuna watu nyuma yake ambao wameamua kuuza nchi. Haiwezekani mabalozi wetu na viongozi wa juu serikalini kununua mali ambazo haziwezi kuhamishika nje ya nchi? Maana yake ni nini? Una wasi wasi gani hadi kufikia hapo?

Vile vile suala la watu kulipa kodi za nyumba kwenye akaunti zao nje ya nchi wakati nyumba hizo zipo bongo? Serikali lazima ipange mkakati kuona kwamba watu hawa wanalipa kodi? Hivi hii shilingi kila siku inakwenda chini ni kwa sababu gani? sheria za Benki na wizi wa fedha lazima zipitiwe na usimamizi uwe ni mkali na watu au makampuni wachukuliwe hatua kuonyesha mfano kwamba tuko makini katika suala hili la wizi wa kimacho macho. Siku hizi hakuna kukimbilia nje hao Interpol ndio kazi yao. Hebu watu waanze kuchukuliwa hatua na wasitubabaishe na hii jumuia uchwala. JK na wote ambao wamepewa mjukumu anzeni kuonyesha makali ya Tanzania kama vile tulivyowasaidia ndugu zetu kupata uhuru wao kutoka kwa walowezi.

Hivi kweli hawa viongozi hawaoni aibu wanapoona hali yetu Tanzania na chi kama za Asia ambazo zimepiga hatua, acheni kupeleka watoto mbumbumbu kusoma nje wakati wenye uwezo wa kuitoa Tanzania kimasomaso wanabaki bila msaada wowote.

Do not worry it is not going to happen, concentrate your energy to eradicate the poverty in your country. Mkuu wa Wilaya Turkana, George Ayonga, alithibitisha kutokea kwa tukio hilo.

Of course Kenyans Know they need the EAC. Its the Tanzanians (some) in this forum who need to wake up on the issue instead of throwing insults at other EAC. As you have been reminded Ugandans and Rwandans who were devastated by war are way ahead or overtaking Tz economically with all its 'peace'.
Somebody talked about forced marriage: Tanzanians should know that no one will force them into the union. Every country will have to hold a referendum.
It is good thing that the politicians have put into gear that process…in a year we will all vote.
That is the best thing that can happen because Tanzanians, if they want to, will Officially say NO. Such forums like these ones will not be necessary anymore and the EAC will be built by those who are willing.
Those EU spending money on building EAC headquarters in Arusha should stop immediately until after the vote otherwise you’ll start hearing xenophobic Tanzanians saying Ugandans and Kenyans (nilotes) want to grab their “very rich and developed” Bantu Arusha.

To summarize some the arguments in the last few pages Tzians are saying they will not join EAC coz
1. Other EAC countries are mostly nilotes (a lie!) and sooo different therefore they prefer to join hands with the ‘bantu’ southern Africa (SADC).
- the problem with this argument is that 1st of all its Tribalistic and even if they took it seriously joining hands with SADC is actually an economic affair (are there any plans to get one SADC passport or parliament?). An economic affair means that Tanzanians prefer to deal with still white run SA and Namibia.

2. Tanzania got left behind when trying to help those countries and don’t want to be tricked again.
a) it has been suggested that Britain paid for some of the war on Amin…tz didn’t do it all alone
b) the union broke up because of Idi amins dictatorship and tzania socialism neither of which could mix very well with capitalism
c) if tznians claim to be the ‘noble freedom fighters’ and helpers how come they see no problem with doing business with today’s boer run SA economy that dominates SADC…what happened to their “love” for fellow black south Africans who according to Desmond Tutu till today are not tasting the great ‘economic powerhouse’ proceeds?

3. Some person says that Kenyan leaders advertise parts of Tanzania claiming them to be parts of Kenya in tourism.
- Jameni kama huo si uchochezi...It is a LIE until he/ she produces proof!
Kenyan leaders do not even engage in tourism marketing.

4. Another says that other EAC countries just want to come grab Tz land and that Kenya for example should 1st kick out all its white land owners before any union.
a) the idea of anyone migrating to Tz other than if sent by their company for a job in one of the towns is a bit too far-fetched.
b) and even then you don’t seem to have problems with wazungus and Indians buying off your land, mines and parastatals do you?
c) the whole idea of going zimbambwe way is simply to outrageous to address

5. Other EAC countries have conflicts, tribalism, crime and corruption.
- here many contributors have reminded them that
a) some of those EAC countries they despise are back on their feet if not way ahead of of Tz on many issues,
b) Tzaninans themselves have conflicts with Zanzibaris who have declared right here they would prefer EAC to SADC
c) pointing fingers at others on the basis of nilote/ Bantu and then accusing them of tribalism is way too contradictory
d) They cry about other EAC crime rates but are conveniently blind to SA crimes levels thare propably among the highest in the whole world.
e) Tzanians have their own corruption as well…they know it as well but considering the freedom of speech (media) in the country its not part of public debate. At least other EAC countries are not hiding their heads in the sand on the issue like ostriches
f) one Tanzanian on the forum talked about visiting SA and realizing that its even more xenophobic…everybody: Tz, rwandan, Ugandan, Kenya are all ‘makwerekwere’
kujidanganya tu eti SA is closer to Tz…laughable!
g) tzanians have kicked out Kenyans, Ugandans, Rwandans out of their country and replaced them with wazungus and Indians…Kama hiyo si RACISM against your own race tuambieni?

In conclusion:
If the comments by Tanzanians in this forum are representative of the country it is safe to say they are simply not ready for any union...shall we say too ‘kenyaphobic’?

It would be kinda stupid if not funny because whether they like it or not they are already part of EA geographically and everybody else (the west, other Africans even their beloved SA) except them knows or accepts that.

A NO might be sad to some but then it would give the other EAC the mandate to move on fast and firmly in building the union.

We should have that referendum sooner so that they can make their intentions as a country official and everybody move on!

Otherwise there is no point visiting this forum trying to convince anybody anything. Everybody should do their homework and use their referundum vote wisely!
 
Folks;
Labda nianze kwa kusema mimi ni mbongo pyua, unfortunately I live in US for the past 5 years. Eventually baada ya mashule I will go back home and do something for wabongo.

Anyways, hapa nilipo my closest friends are Coloo (Collins), Craigiii (Craig), Jojii (George) na wabongo kadhaa. As u can tell, hao jamaa ni wakenya halisi but they are like brothers to me. Getting drunk together every Thursday night and having a blast together kwenye shida na raha.

The moral of the story hapo juu, ni kwamba baada ya kusome like 25 pages za hii thread I have realized how much WE HATE EACH OTHER. Personally, I don't really care about how Kenyans act and sh!t like that. I mean why should I care?? I bang some Kleptomaniacs at home as well as Juma Nature. I know kwamba kuna ukabila huko kenya but again I don't give a sh!t kwa sababu It doesn't directly affect me and my pipo.

BUT, with EA federation, I guess I have to start paying attention koz I don't think wabongo we are ready for some Harambee bull sh!t, or Narc coallition kinda politics, heck how can we really handle the doses of Kony, Museveni, and Kibaki at the same time? Dude (Museveni) has already announced himself as EA president, now thats waaay too premature and uroho wa madaraka at its finest. (Do u really think Museveni will let go off EA presidency? lazma aingie msituni).

I know, I know u folks think that I am paranoid, u got that right. I am paranoid and If u think that is a bad thing? hey, it is YOUR opinion. I can proudly say I am successful right now koz I watch my steps. So being paranoid, it is actually a good practice for me.

I wanna raise my kids the way I have been raised, love, peace, and happiness amongst kila mtu regardless of kabila.

Don't get me wrong; I LOVE MY KENYANS brothers and sistas, I love em to death but your baggage is too much for us "slow paced, lazy and laid back" wabongo to handle.

U guys won't wanna unite with lazy wabongo anyway? am talking about pyua mbongo, kila siku anaweka zake Safari with kitimoto and never miss a twanga pepeta show in weekdays.

So let it be like the way it is. I will get my kibali when I visit Jojii in Naii, and u guys will get your Kibali if u wanna watch Mr Nice live bongo, and we will continue to respect each other.
 
Jamani, What is hapening with KFF(Kenya Football Federation)? Did I hear well? So, FIFA is coming to investigate corruption in KFF? Is this true? Can somebody enlighten me. Is KFF led by Kikuyus or Luos? Or perhaps Kalenjins? or even Kambas or luhyas?
