show me the tanzanian list of tanzanian owned companies that have successifully competed with SA companies. i am wating
You are right about one thing, Tanzanians shouldn't be afraid of competition. But let me ask you are question. Generally speaking do you think Kenya is better off than Tanzania? Are the common wananchi in Kenya better than those in Tanzani? If Kenya was in another regional block i.e. West Africa, North Africa, Southern Africa towards South Africa, Namibia Botswana will you still be saying the same things?
Tumaini made a good point. How many of those "Kenyan companies are owned by Kenyans. The few elite Kenyans who hold the economy of the country are mostly those families in government, the Mois, Kenyatas, Odingas et al. There is a huge gap between the rich and the poor.
Kuhusu Kenya Airways please go to the company website and see it's shareholders and see how "Kenyan" it is. Let me help you please go here
http://www.kenya-airways.com/home/a..._information/shareholder_profile/default.aspx
Read the data then come back and talk.
So before you talk about a company being Kenyan look at the composition of shareholders. You will see that the largest shareholders are foreigners or the government let by the elite goons.
