Doctor 'massaged woman's breasts'
A doctor massaged a woman's breasts and stroked her hair when she visited his surgery with her ill child, the General Medical Council (GMC) has been told. The woman, known only as Ms A, told the Fitness to Practise panel that she felt violated after being touched by Dr Krishnan Prasad in Sunderland in 2005.
She said he examined her after suggesting she and her child might be "passing a virus" back and forth.
The GP denies his conduct was inappropriate or sexually motivated.
Ms A said she visited the Springwell Medical Group surgery because her three-year-old son was unwell.
After checking the child and prescribing medication, Dr Prasad went on to offer Ms A an examination, the panel was told.
'Indecent conduct'
She said he "seemed to stroke the side of my hair" as he looked into her ears and then proceeded to make a "massage motion" on her breasts after telling her he would listen to her chest and back.
At the time, Dr Prasad was completing his training to qualify as a GP.
The doctor, who was not present for the hearing, is also accused of indecent and sexually motivated conduct while practising in Shieldfield, Newcastle, in February 2007.
He is alleged to have pressed the buttocks of a patient known as Ms B, and touched the crotch of her tights with his hand.
And while working as a GP in Heaton in May 2007, Dr Prasad is accused of massaging the neck and shoulders of a patient referred to as Mrs C in a "sexually motivated" way.
Dr Prasad has said his conduct in relation to Ms A, Ms B and Mrs C was clinically indicated, and denies it was inappropriate or sexually motivated.
The hearing in Manchester is expected to last until 15 May.
