Claim
A circulating Post claims that Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba apologised to Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Kahinda Otafiire for his earlier remarks, with Otafiire responding by accepting the apology.

What we know
•The dispute followed the 30th October Maiden Address to the 12th Parliament as Minister of Water and Environment, in which Otafiire spoke about political tolerance and resolving disagreements without violence. Otafiire, a veteran of Uganda’s 1981–86 bush war, was among the original NRA commanders. Read about Otafiire's remarks on Jamiiforums -Uganda

•Gen. Muhoozi interpreted Otafiire’s remarks as being directed at him and demanded an apology, initially giving him one week and later reducing the deadline to three days.

Muhoozi subsequently said Otafiire would be arrested, including a post stating that they would arrest him “tomorrow without fail.” (which was meant to be Saturday, 03, October) View here

•As of JamiiCheck’s review, no credible report shows that Otafiire has apologised or had been arrested. Otafiire had instead publicly maintained his position, saying he would rather die fighting than live begging. Watch here.

•We also found no credible evidence that Gen. Muhoozi had issued an apology to Otafiire matching the statement shown in the circulating screenshot.

Verdict: FALSE
There is no evidence that Gen. Muhoozi apologised to Kahinda Otafiire.
The circulating post falsely reverses the direction of the apology, making it appear that Muhoozi apologised when the documented exchange shows that he was demanding an apology from Otafiire.
