Sidhani kama anybody here is denying that Magufuli is the President. Whether he won it fairly and justly or not, he is the President. What most of us are against his pretense and stratagem propagandistic style of governing. This dude has been a top public official for over 20+ years. All those years we never heard him showing his “uchungu wa nchi hii”. All over sudden he now has “uchungu na nchi hii” after fattening his big stomach by thieving like how CCM crooks are? This dude is a fraud, swindler and crook who deserves to be in jail and not Ikulu. Yes, he is the president, but he is also a fraud, crook and swindler.

Most of the time people like you always feel INTIMIDATED because of their low level of EDUCATION and low SELF ESTEEM.
This is unacceptable.

Yes Magufuli has been in the system as Minister. However before we cast a stone lets ask ourselves these questions.
Was Magufuli capable of CHANGING things in terms of meningful developments as a Minister?
The answer is YES and NO.
1.YES in this sense. As a Minister, in of every docket he held wa ABLE to perform and transform things. Look at his perfomance as Minister for UJENZIand Miundo mbinu, he was able to tarmac roads more than 10,000 Km. When the treasury gave him money he used it properly.

2.And No because his responsibility was confined to his MINISTRY only and therefore limiting him.
And since he wasn't a Prime Minister he was therefore NOT able to bring changes in some Ministries due to the obvious reasons.

As for your narrative of Magufuli being a Fraudster, Swindler and what not, it is imperative that you furnish us with that infor so that we can also know what you know which we don't know.

People are making mistakes of underestimating Magufuli to their own peril and detriment. While critical opinions and stand can justifiably be leveled against his tactics and the motives behind them to some these op-eds and pseudo-analysis can be construed as failed and veiled attempts on obstructionism. Great that you brought this. So, let me dissect it.

If you are up for quantity, of course you will be awed by kilometers of roads that were built. But, as I look for quality and not quantity, I see nothing splendid about the roads. I’m lucky to have travelled across Tanganyika. The only places that I have never been are Kagera and Ruvuma. In all the places that I have been roads are: full of potholes; dementedly narrow, the recipe for fatal road accidents, as maneuverability is almost impossible etc. Bottom line is we have no quality and standard roads!

On using money properly: I guess you intentionally forget about CAG’s reports on ufisadi at the Ministry of Ujenzi under Magufuli. Check out these:

You again missed my point. Magufuli has repeatedly being saying that “nimekuwa ndani ya serikali kwa miaka 20, najua jinsi nchi ilivyokuwa ikichezewa na kuliwa”. He uses that utterance to show that “ana uchungu na nchi hii”. What me and other people are asking is: if he knew why was he silent? Of course knowing how powerful the Tanzanian president is (as per our Katiba), I didn’t expect him to change things. But, as a principled man (which is what he is trying to portray) he should have done two things: openly showing he wasn’t happy about how things are (at least at the Cabinet level), and secondly, if his views were not respected, resigning as a man of principles. But, hell no! He did none of the two. Instead he thieved like how CCM crooks do, and even openly praising Kikwete for his safari za nje! And now he is criticizing the safaris! What an hypocrite! Do you see why I’m calling him a fraud and swindler?

On the other hand, pretend that you have forgotten what I have said. Now that he is the president, he has all the powers to change things for the better of this nation. One thing that he has to do to show that he is really genuine about his “uchungu na nchi hii” is to remove the presidential immunity in our Katiba. Thereafter, Kikwete and Mkapa should be right away be sent to court.

Bruv, it is either you are blind or witless! It is very unfortunate that I can find on any visual audio recordings, what Magufuli said about Kikwete’s safari za nje, when Magufuli was a minister. I remember an opposition MP asked about relevance of Kikwete’s safari za nje. Several ministers responded by defending the safari. But it was Magufuli’s defence that captured me. He said something along these words: “safari za Rais zina faida sana, anaenda huko anapewa pesa za kujenga barabara. Tena namwomba Rais Kikwete azidi kwenda nje ili apewe zaidi mapesa ya kujenga barabara”. This might not be in verbatim, but at least you get what I mean.

I have above explained why he is a fraud.

But, what training in philosophy does is to impart students with critical and analytical skills about worldview cum weltanschauung. It givea students abilities to dissect underlying assumptions about knowledge, theories, and methods in subject area. These are what give someone substance and analytical prowess. Dichotomy between Magufuli and me?!? Where did I say I expect pure philosophical mastery from him? The least he should have is substance in his talking. Yaani when he talks it is hard to imagine how he was even accepted to a graduate program!!

To be honest it doesn’t seem so! His PhD looks shoddy! And when he appointed his PhD supervisor to a senior position, then I guess it made it easier to connect the dots.
