COSASE Sends UEDCL Back for Supporting Documents

The Parliamentary Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE) has deferred its engagement with the Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL) over the Auditor General’s report for the financial year ended June 2025.

The committee directed UEDCL officials to return next Tuesday with the Permanent Secretary and Minister of Energy, alongside the required supporting documents.

The committee said the additional documentation is needed to facilitate further scrutiny of the Auditor General’s findings.

The sitting was chaired by Hon. Muwada Nkunyingi, with Hon. George Musisi serving as Deputy Chairperson.
