Lots of other stuff kills them more. Stress is a killer. But in a place plagued with poverty driven diseases and such a low span of life expectancy, then talking about suicide rates in Africa vs America and Europe wont get you even closer to an answer.I disagree.Depression tends to results in suicide.If Africa has highest depression rates in the world how come the suicide rate in Africa is so low.?
Even if we have high depression rates but i think we have better social mechanisms of dealing with it.

I am glad you have made it clear you have no desire to stop people from believing in God.Now i think our ships are sailing in the same direction.We may challenge each other philosophically about Gods existance but at the end of the day we know there is alpha and omega.I don't know how to disseminate what? Why do you think I should disseminate?
If you are illiterate, and I know graduate school level material on a subject, and you are persistent in being illiterate, why should I be concerned that I don't know how to talk to an illiterate person instead of you being concerned that you don't know how to address matters intelligibly?

Besides, JF is a drop in the ocean compared to the world, if I truly wanted to turn the world into atheism, I would spendmore time on Quora and Twitter, not on this paltry JF.
may be u r right,but how do we know the rates in Africa if we believe depression is something of the west?....this means people will be misdiagnosed and other wont seek help at all.....therefore we will never know actual statistics......anyway I found this old post,i don't know its credibility though.....Africa has some of the highest depression rates in the world
Kule mwanzo nilisema, it probably goes deeper than what we know, when it comes to finding out who gets hit with depression the most. The privileged or Unprivileged.
Seems like both of you're right but then, not sure if there's accurate figures for Africa.
