Claim:

A video circulating widely on social media platforms particularly TikTok falsely alleges that Hon. Rebecca Kadaga has passed away.

The footage portrays what is claimed to be her send‑off ceremony, suggesting that official burial arrangements are underway.

Findings:

Jamii Check used Google Lens to verify the authenticity of the circulating video and established that the footage does not depict the send‑off of Hon. Rebecca Kadaga.

Instead, the video is from the funeral of Hon. Stella Isodo, the Woman Representative of Ngora District, who passed away on January 17, 2026 at Kampala Hospital and was laid to rest on January 24, 2026.

The visual elements, location markers, and individuals present in the video match publicly available images and reports from Hon. Isodo’s burial, confirming that the content has been misrepresented.

Further verification shows that no credible media outlet including mainstream Ugandan news platforms, parliamentary communication channels, has reported the death of Hon. Rebecca Kadaga.

These findings indicate that the video has been miscaptioned and repurposed, contributing to a false narrative about Hon. Kadaga’s death.

Verdict: False

The circulating TikTok video claiming that Hon. Rebecca Kadaga has died is false. Verification conducted through Google Lens and cross‑referenced with credible public sources confirms that the footage is from the burial of Hon. Stella Isodo, the Woman Representative of Ngora District.
