Tanzanian support for Morocco's autonomy proposal
Moroccan PM presents "real vision" of the Sahara dispute to Tanzanian Parliamentary delegation
Moroccan Head of Government Abdelilah Benkirane said, Wednesday in Rabat, he presented "a real vision of the Moroccan Sahara issue" and the artificial conflict over this issue to a Tanzanian parliamentary delegation, on visit to the Kingdom.
"We presented to this delegation a much broader vision about the issue of the kingdom's territorial integrity and they understood that the real problem that hinders the settlement of the Sahara question lies in the intransigence of the Algerian regime, which refuses to provide any consistent assistance to this issue," Benkirane told news agency MAP following a meeting with a delegation of Tanzanian MPs.
The delegation is led by the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence in Parliament of Tanzania, Edward Ngayai Lowassa. "That problem would have been quickly solved if the Algerian regime has not resorted to intransigence," said Benkirane.
According to the Premier, the Tanzanian delegation expressed support for the territorial integrity of the kingdom and the Moroccan autonomy plan to resolve the dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.
