A robber told a taxi to wait outside while he ran in to a bank to steal thousands of pounds.
A robber asked an unsuspecting taxi driver to wait while he held up a bank.
The thief raided a branch of RBS in Edinburgh, Scotland on Monday (03.03.14), stuffing thousands of pounds into a plastic bag before hopping back into the waiting cab and driving off.
Police believe the taxi driver was not involved in the crime and remained unaware he was being used as a getaway vehicle.
Detective Inspector Rory Hamilton said: ''It would not be unusual for a taxi to be asked to wait outside a bank.
But we now need the driver to get in touch with us.''
