Former Minister of State for Gender, Labour and Social Development in charge of Children and Youths Affairs, Balaam Barugahara has claimed that 95.2% of paternity DNA tests conducted through petitions during his tenure showed that the men involved were not the biological fathers of the children they were supporting. His remarks came amid the public debate surrounding the recent DNA findings involving the family of the late musician Paul Job Kafeero.

According to Balaam, the Gender Ministry handled 250 paternity-related DNA petitions, but only 12 tests confirmed that the alleged fathers were the children's biological parents. He said 238 tests returned negative results, meaning the men involved had been raising children who were not biologically theirs. Based on these figures, he calculated that 95.2% of the cases excluded the alleged fathers.

Speaking about the findings, Balaam said:
"When I was Minister of Gender, we conducted 250 DNA tests and out of these, 238 women had children and gave them to men who are not their fathers. These men were struggling and being harassed every day."
He added that responsibility for handling such cases now lies with the current leadership at the ministry.
Balaam urged men who have doubts about paternity to seek DNA testing, saying it can prevent years of emotional and financial hardship.
"I am appealing to young men to... endeavor to take DNA tests at birth to avoid buying nappies that you shouldn't have to."

His comments followed the widely publicized DNA investigation into Kafeero's estate, where forensic experts found that only four of the 25 people tested were biologically related to the late singer. The results sparked national debate, with some family members rejecting the findings and calling for further testing abroad.

He says they did tests from different Labaratories.

There are very reliable according to the information, they tested more than once
... THE WHOLE DNA IDEA COULD STILL BE LACKING THE KEY ..................!
NB: HUMANS AND CHIMPS SHARE 99% OF THEIR DNA LEAVING ONLY 1% FOR INDIVIDUAL HUMANS TO BRAG THAT THEY'RE BETTER THAN THEIR NEIGHBOURS! 😅
