I will tell you that i KNOW that Kenya is trying to buy new and used f-15. We already have a group of air force personnel in Israel and USA right now being trained how to fly and repair those planes. I already know that since 2007 is when Kenya first raised the idea of buying them.

I hope you should be aware that Kenya could have acquired these birds as early as mid 2010,but the US Army short changed us by supplying our order to the Morroccan Airforce in the pretext that our airbases at the time could not handle the birds and there were some issues concerning mantainance.But i know Senior Army men have been spending their time at an assembly point in Baltimore trying to sign the deal.Thats why at the moment all ourbases have been expanded to receive them.

Our purchases of F5 from Jordan were quite inorder taking into consideration......that during the time of their purchase no one expected Uganda was going to get those SUK's....we can call that "intelligence failure".Furthermore those birds from Jordan are not the real F5 as many people know them but modified F5E,which are much more advanced...but their biggest anomally is that they are not effective at night and cant fly well in extreme whether.....but at the same time they can challenge the SUK's in broad daylight in dog fights.That one not withstanding.......their is some talk that Cameroonians are willing to buy them from us,but its not confirmed

getting them from Jordan?...coz I know Jordan doesnt manufacture planes.

Oh! This reminds me of Iddi Amini's portentous remarks about TPDF, Amini was a buffoon who could hardly see beyond his nose! He thought East African Countries were weak Millitarily save for Uganda - where is he now? in a history trash CAN.

Back to the point, Mr. Kayundi2 what makes you think Uganda is no match for Kenya Millitarily just because a couple of their jets were involved in an accident, is Kenya Air Force immune to such mishap! One more thing, may I remind you that the F-16 design were developed in the early and mid-1970's; lets be frank here, F-16 is an outdated technology flying on an old airframe and needs to be replaced. I salute UPDF for their wise decision to acquire an agile and technological advanced fighter planes. Why anyone would pick 2nd generation F-16 over 4th generation SUKHOI knowing full well that F-16 lags behind the Sukhoi-30MK in strike capability by 15-20% , is beyond ME! If the Kenyan thinks by acquiring a squadron of F-16s will transform KAF to a TOM CRUISE top GUNS overnight, they would better think TWICE.

Mkuu, SUKHOI-30MK maneuverability defies all laws of physics (aerodynamics) I saw its maneuverability at Fanborough Air Show, mark you 'am not exaggerating anything here but I can tell you for certain that this fighter, is unparalleled in the world and outperforms all NATO fighters by at least 70 to 100% save for Lockheed Martin F-22 RAPTOR which was conspicuous by its absense, at the AIR-SHOW!!!.

the only fanborough air show you attended is the one in your dreams. that said what is 6 sukhoi fighters compared to squandrons of kenya F-16 and F-5e??? simply they cant do nothing if the y had atleast 15 of those i would be scared. uganda does not even have fully trained pilots for them

Rosoboronexport, Russia's state-run weapons trader, says Moscow is ready to sell Sukhoi Su-30 (Flanker-C) super-maneuverable fighter jets as well as other modern military aircraft to African countries.


Delivery contracts with such as Uganda, Angola and Ethiopia include personnel training programs and aftersales services, RIA Novosti news agency quoted Rosoboronexport’s deputy chief Alexander Mikheyev as saying on Saturday.

He added that Russia has delivered six Sukhoi Su-30 combat jets to Uganda this year, and is currently in talks with the East African state to diversify cooperation.

The twin-engine, two-seat Sukhoi Su-30 fighter jet can fulfill a wide variety of combat missions at significant distances from the home base.​
The multirole fighter is capable of serving air superiority, air defence, air patrol and escort to ground attack, suppression of enemy air defenses and maritime attacks in all weather conditions.
