Does it implecate our local technology has grown faster too that it has reached its peak by being reliable,affordable and available even to our very local communities? or He is telling President Obama, now in Tz and Africa,the market for your technological divices is widely available?! even the used one can secure market?! How old is January? What age definition is a young leader?

I have read January's letter and take issue with the following Statement : " The good news is that there is an emerging crop of new, young African Leadership in politics,private sector and civil society which is able and ready to take on the challenges facing the continent". I was wondering in the case of Tanzania who are the emerging young leaders who are able to face the challenges facing our people? Take January himself as an example, can he really pass the test of being an able leader who can grapple with the chronic problems of corruption that are endemic in the country? He is currently a junior minister in a ministry that oversees cell phone companies and there has been a hue and cry for these companies to be listed on the stock exchange so that they are transparent in their financial dealings, what has he done to achieve the goal of listing these companies which are believed to be bribing the leadership[him included] so that they are not listed? Most of these so called young and able leaders are children of corrupt old politicians who are hell bent to see that their off springs inherit their positions as a strategy of protecting their ill-gotten wealth once they are out of power!

There has been an effort to entrust the so called young and able citizens with strategic ministerial positions but most of them were a disappointment because they ended up in being embroiled in shoddy deals. We had a young man lead the ministry of Natural resources and Tourism and another one the ministry of energy; all of them were a disappointment . The challenges facing our continent and our country included, will only be surmounted by dedicated Africans irrespective of their ages who will put the interest of their countries and the continent first instead of their selfish interests!!!

I think Makamba Jr sees Tanzania and Africa on limited scope or thinks Baraka Obama is just like many other African rulers who believe everything they are told or he thinks Hussen Mwinyi, Nape Nauye, the two Kawawa MPs and others who have benefitted from their parents history are a true representative of Tanzania young generation especially those aspiring to become leaders. Moreover, he has failed to depict the true cum ugly colour of the incumbent Tanzania politics which reserves the opportunity to leadership to the haves. Those who have money to travel widely in their constituencies, can buy gifts, can afford advertisements during elections and bribe members of candidates picking committees can vie for legislature membership? This to all intents and purposes is pecuniary democracy. It was architected by his January party-CCM and it has become like a culture in Tanzania politics. We have witnessed people selling the assets so as to run for house membership. Those who have not managed to scoop enough votes have ended up being poor, frustrated and dead of heart attack. JM knows this better but has purposely held it as it could have implicated his party or angered party heavyweights. So a young leader who fails to call a spade a spade is not a leaders worthy emulation. He falls short of any iota of patriotism. I regrettably concur with others kuwa he's an opportunist and mchumia tumbo

Villages will continue to be part and parcel of our culture cause they differentiate Africa from other part of the world, they make us unique. Mheshimiwa vijiji is not something to be ashamed of! You ought to embrace them. Afte all, Bumbuli is made up of villages.

Katika sekta anayosimamia rushwa ya makampuni makubwa imekithiri. Wakati makamba anaongelea phone kusaidia maendeleo, utadhani hajui kuwa gharama zake zinaongezeka kwasababu mashirika makubwa yana monoply na yanazuia kampuni nyingine kuingia nchini ili waweze kuwakamua hao masikini anaoongela JM.

Anajua hili, kwavile dhamira yake ni 'show off' hatalisema, na kwa vile yeye na familia ni beneficiary wa makampuni hayo JM hatasema, atakachosema ni cha Obama!

Makamba ameshindwa kuwaeleza Watanzania kwanini Gharama ya kupiga simu kutoka nje ni kubwa sana ukilinganisha na mataifa mengine kama Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya na Uganda.

Mfano, wakati inamgharimu Mtanzania senti 45 dollar kwa dakika kupiga simu Tanzania kutoka nje, dakika hiyo moja itamgharimu Mkenya 0.05. Makamba haoni hili anaona ujio wa Obama! Please

Makamba anaongelea infant mortality, bajeti ya wizara ya afya ikipitishwa hakusema lolote na tuliona jinsi ilivyokosa umakini katika maternal and infant mortality. Leo anaongelea vifo vya watoto!!

JM anazungumzia kuhusu uwezekano wa rasilimali za nchi kuibiwa na wakubwa.
Hatujamsikia akisema lolote kuhusu Twiga waliokuwa waingie katika ndege ya kijeshi. Anaongelea rasilimali wakati katika vikao amekaa na wauza rasilimali hizo iwe madini au pembe za ndovu.

Sina tatizo na Makamba, tatizo ni jinsi ambavyo anataka kuyatumia matatizo ya wananchi kama ngazi tena kwa ulaghai wa lugha tamu tamu. JM 1980 ilikuwa possible, 2015 it's the different Tanzania.
