Air Tanzania soars again, propelled by Chinese firm
February 6, 2009: Air Tanzania will soon be back in operations as the Tanzanian government plans to sell a stake to a Chinese firm.
The firm is expected to help the airline implement its strategy which includes acquiring nine new aircrafts
According to the deputy minister for Infrastructure Development, Mr Hezekiah Chibulunje, China Sonangol International would buy 49 per cent of the airline and help the Government implement the airlines investment strategy to increase its fleet for both domestic and international flights.
