What To Consider When Purchasing A Pwr.Vu Decoder [$45-$65]
It is very interesting to note that over 6 months since Pwr.Vu was h$cked, the issue of the "best Pwr.Vu receiver" has never been settled.
By January 2016 a good number of satellite receivers injected Pwr.Vu Algorithm in their STBs and those without the algorithm are as good as dead & buried.
In December a forum member from South Africa spoke of Pwr.Vu STBs that were "better" than Chinco decoders but not the slightest detail was unveiled on the same.
What determines "the best receiver" lies solely on the promptness, swiftness & even cunningness of the Software Engineers behind that particular Pwr.Vu receiver.
On 7th January 2016, S$ny ENT @66\68e upgraded its Pwr.Vu Algorithm but Strong SRT HD responded within 24hrs. GSky HD, Alphabox x4 & Q-Sat HD followed suite within 48 hours. To date there are STBs that have not released software to counter the S$ny ENT package.
GSky v6 HD is the only decoder running 2 major packages on Auto-roll, both Alphabox x4 HD & Q-Sat HD run one major package. Strong SRT HD does not run on any Auto-roll and this is a major set-back. GSky Team will soon release v5 HD & v8 HD.
It is therefore unprofessional to "crown" Strong SRT HD as the "leader" and its time to break this dogmatic belief. Likewise similar hardware features between decoders cannot be used as a measure for STB down-time performance.

Only time will be the ultimate judge on the best decoder. The present algorithm on top is Po***vu, tomorrow it will be Irdeto2. Lets wait and see.
