African Satellite World and Sat Gear

Thanks for the awesome update.

Opening all Pv channels on both Intelsat 20 and apstar 7.

Any pv key out for bbc channels on Apstar 7?

Will test Mesat 3/3a and report back.
Also test on Intelsat 17@66E there are more interesting HD Channels. Not yet come across the bbc keys.

wayachi, pls how do I access the Powervu keys on my SRT 4950H with the latest software of v3.32p, thanks.

Brother I have no idea how, the channels just open on their own without manual entry of pv keys. Let us keep on exploring. Have also discovered that Is20 cband no channel opens automatically.

Sometimes when you upgrade the keys are already loaded in the patch that's why

Thanks dejumbo and kungu1, i succeeded in opening pv on is20 on srt4922, now the task is on srt4950h with v3.32p.Anyone who has this decoder working on pv should share hiw to enter the keys

Those using the British Technomate receivers can check on new patches with PV CAS menu.
Released are 4 new Patches for TM-5402-M2-TM-7100-TM-6900-6800 Super dated 20-07-2015.
Download the patches from here:
Download center

BTW Technomate receivers have more sensitive tuners than SRT 4922, 4930 & 4950.
Only Openbox V8 beats them on tuner sensitivity.

I folded my C-band in 2010. I am Ok with 7E. The last time I was on 68.5 was when it was Panamsat 4 in 2003, it had MTV and BBC on analogue and Free Travel channel from Multichoice..........

Kibukila, I have over adjusted the LNB but could hit it. The highest on 4064 was 71% yesterday and those channels showed but with maximum of 74% yet they couldn't show. Could it be the LNB type cos I'm using Supermax.

Check now the signal has gone up to 71% should now show on your setup. The lnb has nothing to do only the dish size matter once signal drops.

Hi Guys,
Am locked to 68.5/70b but i dont get all channels on 70b accept 11057v30000 for local channels. Any way i can do to make it pull more channels using 90cm?

The supermax 2425hd powerplus is also a good receiver. and it has patches that include those that unlock cryptworks for 7e

Do you remember SW patch version 3.15P for SRT 4950H that came out in March 2015?
It changed the old GUI to the new GUI (now old) which was sleeker and pleasing to the eye.
It also changed and simplified the entering of BISS keys by removing the SID requirement.
Is the new GUI in version 3.32P better looking?
I am not in a hurry to upgrade yet.

Here is a snapshot of the two GUIs for the SRT 4950H, before and after the upgrade...

My dear I can assure you I know what I am talking about since I have SRT 4900, 4922, 4930, 4950
plus Openbox V8 and TM 7102 among the over 20 HD satellite receivers that I own.
Please do not get me wrong on SRT 4922. It is still my favourite HD stb because of its many features
and small size compared to TM 7102HD.
The TM is a very huge box measuring 390mm by 73mm by 283mm (W-H-D) and weighs 3.5kg.
But on the plus side, the TM has 3 tuners (2 satellite & 1 T2 terrestrial). Its interface navigation is similar to Strong, ClarkeTech & Dr HD receivers and with SW updates it can open the DgT goodies
on 7 east and now has PV. It shows all the tps on 7e including 11618 V which my 4922-50 shows with scratches.
As for tp 11492 V (Idman) I can only get it 24/7 on my Openbox V8.

The TM also has AV inputs that add composite video, component video and stereo audio input sockets, so the output of additional equipment can be routed through the receiver and viewed or recorded as though off -air. This can be used for security cameras and also for the output from, say, an old VCR player or a Dstv decoder to combine all your recordings in one place.
