My views Bw. Sebmjomba. Keep it in mind we are talking about kenyamux at Amos 5 and (I believe) eutelsat 70B - nionavyo mimi ni kuwa the picture plays hop & skip. Srt 4950M does the smoothening magic.
Otherwise, the srt 4950H stb is a winner in many other respects. Indeed guys here will advocate for it.
Finally managed to use two lnb's on on 90cm dish nilesat on one and 7a/astra 4a on the other
I used the tps 12418 v 30000 and 12384 v 30000 to track.

It seems that even the strong tech people are not very helpful. I am relying on you brothers and sisters please share the little idea you have on reviving dead SRT4950H.
You can imagine the pain i am going through that after waiting for years for this box then luckly it arrives and before even i scan it for channel viewing then it dies in the process of upgrading. Sending it back is costly too, they are not found in shops here in Malawi, otherwise i could have gotten another one instantly.

I can confidently confirm no JUJU was used...:bounce:.The Eurostar P 8 is a very low cost universal lnb (roughly 4 Dollars along Luthuli Av.). Indeed this experiment needs a second... no a third opinion.

Morning members, yesterday I was upgrading 4950m suddenly power went off later when turning on the stb on display can't find ROM.bin. I have download sw from crosat&strong website then send it to a empty USB and rename rom.bin put on stb. Put it on while pressing 2 or3 but no successful. Any member to help me here plz.

Thank you HIGHLANDS it's original, first I patched it with sw v3.09 and this happens when I was patching sw v3.12.Hey you dont have to panic. Once you've inserted the usb stick, try switching on the mains power whilst pressing the RED power button on your remote. If you fail try renaiming it ROM only.
Original Strong stbs can be pricked and revived again-therein lies their beauty.
