Hi, my huawei E3531 blinks blue once every 2s (registering to 3g network) but does not connect. When I try to open applications says Test link fail. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, check on this
1. Pin code for the sim is disabled for the modem
2. Airtime/bundles available.....if all done but no connection is achieved, try the usb at the back
if it fails, re-download the software, reinstall and factory-reset the receiver . All the best

Hello fellas. Hope you're enjoying your Easter, I am. Took this time to bond a bit with the 4950H. Nice receiver, not as complex as some had made it sound. Just one problem:

For some reason, it cannot 'latch' on to the Nat Geo and History TP (11617 V 30000). Any idea how to resolve that? I'm currently running v3.15p software. The TP is checking in at S 82%.

An update: In the last few minutes I've updated to v3.16p software, done a factory reset and blind-scanned E7A. The same scenario persists. At signal level of 82%, the 4950H does not seem to lock on to this tp (11617 v 30000). Anyone with a solution to this?

Somehow a bit better.I use 240cm/8ft offset,but some JF forum members usually nab TP 11533v 30000/29999 that carries Animal planet,CNBC-e and Cartoon network with 180cm prime focus dish.

You need to have strong decoders model 4922/4950H patched with their latest software to unscramble Ydman azerbaycan.I have also heard that Qsat opens d*g*t**k.

Hi Ranksat, hope u r great.By the way make the sure the base is firmly secured and vertically aligned i.e 90 degrees. Am using 120cm offset dish plus fuji quad lnb on srt 4922, am based in Embu and my results are as follow;

Freq 10805V/29899 hosting bbc knowledge am getting signal quality of 65%;



Frequency 11493V/29998 hosting Idman Azerbaijan, quality is 61%;



Frequency 11617V/29999 hosting national geo wild, quality is 60%;



Pictures are quite stable.Since you have srt 4922, you can use it to compare with my results.

According to my experience, 130cm offset dish should have better results as compared to 180cm prime focus dish. Offset dishes tend to outperform prime focus dishes. I tested my 180cm primefocus on d*g*t**k but some tps like 11617V/29999 was cracking. I reverted to 120cm offset and the said tp has been stable as illustrated from my previous post.

i just need advice can i upgrade with it? Anybody who has try to upgrade astrovox decoder? and if i face any error is it reversable to early firmware.

I used to own this decoder and i happened to brick it while uploading software via usb as a result of power interruption while in the process of uploading software. The decoder was rendered useless. I have tried to bring it back to life but my efforts have been fruitless. Their website is obsolete hence no software updates. I would advice you to go for strong decoder either 4922 or 4950H. Thats my take.

Av used 130cm before in Thika and it nailed all the channels mpaka history same with 180cm pf... But yesterday I tried to install it to someone in ruiru and the best I cold get with the 130cm was BBC knowledge,BBC ent and nat geo people.

I think all try the 180cm kesho and see if it will av better results than 130 offset.but with the prime focus,is Fuji lnb better than inverto??

There you are my brother, long time man. Niko mzima kabisa. Yes, I have a 4922 which I'm ditching as I didn't like the sensitivity of its tuner. On the tp 11555 H 30000 hosting IDx and the 'Discoveries' for instance, it'd give signal quality of at most 58% whereas my satmeter, 6918P gave 88% on the same tp. No problem with 58%, its watchable but at the slightest sign of adverse weather and in the evenings, it'd promptly drop to 53-54% and become unwatchable.

Now, on 4950H, the said tp is checking in at a consistent 81% (which compares very well with the satfinder's) and is watchable throughout. My beef however is with the tp 11617 v 30000 hosting History channel, Nat Geo, Nat Geo Wild as well as a host of radio stations. the tp is consistent at 82% throughout but a blindscan/manual scan on that tp yields nothing. That's what has me flabbergasted.

I'm using a 240cm pf dish coupled to Stargold Fuji SG900 single on this set-up. Somebody help. Are other 4950 users facing the same scenario on this specific tp?

you can get a 12 volts 3A current adapter adapter at universal elecrtonics along luthuli lane.Or you can buy a universal laptop charger whereby you can select the voltage manually.
