Use Component cables, the ones color-coded red, blue and green. Note that they carry picture only and you're gonna need either a toslink cable or rca cables to output sound.

No, you do not need to change any settings in your decoder. Just make sure as Ranksat has said you use the color coding appropriately in the component cable and voila! Remember too that these cables are for pictures ONLY. You will need to connect the audio out to audio in in your decoder and TV respectively, using separate cables.

Just installed Azam today and I must say for 850/- per month it is not a bad deal plus the decoder is open so I get to use it with other satellites.

just check the USD/KES exchange rates online or use a smartphone app such as Convert Free.

Just tried to load other TPs of Eutelsat 7A and failed. Please advice further.

I have managed to load other TPs on 7A but it doesn't seem to capture other channels. I successful added Nilesat 7W but seems the Diseqc switch is not intelligent enough to allow seamless switching between satellites.

tips and tricks for azam decoder

go to settings and add new satellite and the tps you want manually then do a blind scan on your new sat. youwill get your channels.

A member of this group by the name mzeenjenga did it for me. I have all my nilesat channels and muvi channels on the Azam decoder.

The azam receiver has no blind scan so you have to do it manually.

Did u obtain it locally or made an import? At what cost? I am interested in one.

Yes I bought it locally from an importer who had 5 pcs he had brought in from Dubai.
Price was 350K (UGX). He has been advertising them on both OLX and KAYMU.
