Hallo family,

I had some months back requested for the tracking TP for Yahsat 1A which a good member here assisted me with (12168V27500) but on scanning it yesterday I realised the channels I got were all on Intelsat 20.

Though I am a lover of gospel channels, I first of all wanted to track Yahsat then combine Int 20 & maybe NSS 12. Kindly someone assist with Yahsat 1A's tracking TP and tell me whether from Intelsat 20 I will move the dish up or down to nab Yahsat 1A.

Thanks all and God bless.

New Deutsche channels at Amos 5 a 17.

Confirmed. It's ‘Satelio TV' (http://www.satelio.tv; http://www.satelio.tv/offerpricing_namibia_de.html ) currently on Intelsat 20 (68.5 east) on 12522 V 27500, DVB-S, MPEG4.

On Amos5, If I remember well, it is on 12260 V 17666 with a line up of German / Austrian channels similar to those on 68.5 East.
It seems like they are partnering with Namibia's HitRadio (http://www.hitradio.com.na).
Channels include RTL Deutschland; RTL 2 Deutschland; Sat. 1 Deutschland; Pro Sieben Deutschland; Kabel Eins Deutschland; Vox Deutschland; Puls 4; Pro Sieben Maxx; DW Asien; Super RTL Deutschland; Sixx Deutschland; Jukebox; N-TV; EuroNews; C Music TV; Deluxe Music

Yahsat-1A is on 52.5 East. Your dish is currently pointed to Intelsat 20 at 68.5 East. Use the following frequency for Fox Movies (12168 H 27500, DVB-S, MPEG-2) and move the dish slightly upwards to Yahsat-1A by about 10 to 20Cm, and slightly to the left or right. Once you get the Fox Movies, you can blind-scan or manual-scan the Dubai-One HD TP on 11823 H 27500, DVB-S2, MPEG-4.

What is your dish Size, LNB and Decoder? At Nairobi I have succeeded with a 90Cm Eurostar plus single Inverto Ultra Black LNB; and SRT-4922HD. With latest firmware upgrade (used 157P version), I get a stable quality of 63-65% 24/7 for Dubai One HD. Your decoder should be capable of receiving MPEG-4 and HD in order to receive the Dubai One and others. At Nairobi, you will only get the Ku-West beam with a 90Cm. The East beam requires a 240Cm offset.

Remember this is a fringe reception situation. Hence your LNB and dish matters. Some other LNBs will barely ‘scratch' the Sat. Visit: FlySat Yahsat-1A @ 52.5° East

Asante msondaa, nimepata hilo duka lakini hawana Samson au inverto Black. Ni stargold fuji na zingine.

Was "wandering" online and I found information about official 2014 FIFA World Cup broadcasters in their respective regions that I thought may be useful for some forum members given we are a few days away. I've only retained FTA (or if there is a way around) broadcasters that are "easily" receivable in East Africa and some parts of Sub-Sahara Africa. I've included at least one satellite position where these broadcasters can be received in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Angola – TPA (7˚E)
Benin- ORTB (16˚E)
Burkina Faso – RTB (17˚E)
Cameroon – CRTV (7˚E, 16˚E)
Côte d'Ivoire – RTI (7˚E, 17˚E)
Gabon – RTG (1˚W, 16˚E)
Iran – IRIB (20˚E)
Kenya – KBC (10˚E, 60˚E, 72.1˚E)
Madagascar – MATV (16˚E)
Mali – ORTM (7˚E)
Mauritius MBC (7˚E)
Mozambique – TVM (64.2˚E)
Namibia- NBC (1˚W)
Nigeria- BON, Optima Sports Management International (17˚E)
Senegal- RTS (1˚W, 7˚E)
Tanzania- TBS (17˚E)
Turkey-TRT (7˚E)
Zambia- ZNBC, MUVI TV (5˚E)

Of course MBC (Mauritius) is apparently "blank" but shows no encryption flag (on my decoder) & that's why I considered it to be FTA.
Hopefully these broadcasters will remain FTA during the course of the tournament.

Another DW TV channel on fta hosted on Zuku tp 12260 V 17666. Plus new music channel jukebox 11623 V 27499 on same satelite SES5 @ 5 DEG East.

Thanks edson05 for the update what worries me is the local time we are going to watch these channels due to the different time zones
