Image a large deep prime focus dish on amos 5 of which the offset is a
part of. It would be on the lower lip. Now if it was on the upper lip it
would be exactly how techdee expected. An offset on polar mount can
take any position on the surface of the corresponding pf. I think they
chose this position to slip wind more easily.

This is a very convincing fact (or argument), any area of an offset dish can be
represented by a portion of a primefocus dish. So this means that with
the correct swivel an offset dish can face different directions (to the
human eye) while still aiming the same satellite. What do other members
think?

i tend to disagree being polar or ground mount the azimuth remains constant.consider equity bank vpn dishes they are pointed east what actualy they are doing is that the dish acts like as if k24 are at in satlinks office the content is fed into satlink's teleport who take it to amos5 then to the nss12 then to terestrial you cant feed content directly into a sat its the tp leaser(in our case satlink)who is alocated a teleport by amos5 owners compreses it into mpeg2 or 4 then encrypts it dvb-s or s2 then alocates vid,sid etc then uplinks to the desired sat thats why members on europe b of 7e get supersport ea there

you aim your dish to a
particular sat where your content is found mostly in this case I think
its yahsat or if it faces west it may be sky direct
But did you check permies photos of the citizen tv uplink, to any sat guru that dish is pointed at 68.5E, does this mean they are bypassing the teleports? Also what sat is the k24 dish pointed at?
