African Satellite World and Sat Gear

is this the one
That's good...

However 8ft is too heavy for a 12v actuator..
Especially if you want to lift it off The horizon from measat to is20 oftenly.

A 24 or 36v actuator can do better for long

hi ,
Help please!!!!!!
Where should my dish point if I want to track EUTELSAT 10A at 10.04??????.
thanks.

By the what is the approximate weight of 8ft dish

A China made 8ft weighs about 60 kg in totallity
But what matters is the maximum pull force required to lift the dish face from farthest east or west
From my experience about 30kg pull force is required. Thats 300 Newtons

Most 12 V actuators are rated 220N pull force

If you place it to pull at 300N, the motor will overdraw current and overheat . It'll fry in time..

My actuator is rated 1500N and is 12v

Man don't trust these Chinese..
1500N is 150kg... That's sack of maize and a half..

Do you think it can pull a whole sack of maize?

Please try. Something gonna blow. And certainly it's not the sack of maize.

I've got a 36V actuator I imported from Canada and it's rated 1200N. I still don't even trust it
