Vicwa, Hi. My attempt to lock on tp 3740h/ 30000 [IS-20] has proved futile. I'm on an old rusty 6ft. using Pauxis HD 200°K LNBf.
All factors constant, are the above LNB positions [11:00 & 2:00 O'clock] when standing in front of the dish? Are the LNB positions in relation to the ''0'' mark on the C-Band LNB.
I tried both positions but both tps 3900h/ 22222 & 3740h/ 30000 are very unstable. I've also adjusted the Azimuth & Elevation although the mounting rim is warped.

You said you're using rusty (or old)reflector ; then, may be the three arm of dish are not well aligned, as, it is, when new (esp on the part that touches the lnb holder). Try to a adjust the scale ring (lnb holder) in all side of three arms. Unfortunately that what I did with my dish to rock on elusive tp 3740. Had the same case with my friend secondhand dish also advice him to buy pauxis lnb but he bought Eurostar ES-21 which couldn't rock 3740. He was Forced to buy Pauxis and then adjust lnb scale ring and all tp came dancing.

Same with my 4950h, but I input manually and unlock them. Gsky V7 autoroll them. Input manually and unlock them.

I input the unlockers manually and Alas! . I feel like the next bill gates.

About the " suffering" I don't know about suffering either. Most of us sat enthusiasts & hobbists are here for fun and we are enjoying the thrill of hunting. If you are suffering just pay for Dsv and avoid all the suffering

GIDEN, Hi. There is no hidden dent on this 6ft. it's an original 10+ year old EuroStar 18Gauge. What is true though is that it's not mounted on an even surface.
I attached a second secondary SuperMax vh-111 SUPER C-Band LNBf which is locked on 20 channels. Initially the "H" polarity yielded 10 broadcasts on 9 O'clock skew while the remaining 10 "V" polarity broadcasts were receivable were receivable on 3 O'clock skew.
After balancing the satellite antenna by placing pieces of tiles around the warped mounting rim i'm now able to lock on the 20 broadcasts on either skew; satellite antenna is currently aligned.

You are very correct the 3-Lnb Arms were all crooked although i tried to re-align them "kiufundi" but to be on the safe side i have always used spacers attached to satellite antenna base. On one tripod arm it's up to 20mm!!! Now that the dish is aligned i will re-inject the spacers.

I discovered the C-Band Scalar Ring tweak a while back. Hold the scalar ring in both hands shifting focal point either left / right & forwards/ backwards; it reduces unnecessary adjustment of the C-Band LNBf. On my earlier set-up [no primary] i was able to lock on BelinterSat 1 @51.5°E\ NSS 12 @57°E\ IS-20 @68°E\ ApStar 7 @76°E [1 tp. only] with very stable signal using the "C-Band Scalar Ring Tweak" method i had managed to even lock on 3900h\ 222222 temporarily.

Kindly confirm the LNB position "2:00 O'clock skew", is the "C-Band LNBf "0" mark exactly on 2:00 O'clock when behind or in-front of the dish?

And if a broadcaster is using pvu or bees to lock his goods

while it is a well known fact (no secret) that those locks have their vulnerabilities - well exploited worldwide,

it would be fool hardy to think the broadcaster doesn't know someone is taking advantage of the vulnerabilities in those locks and would only come to learn about it when some one shares about it in a forum.

It is foolish to think that way.

they know those locks are vulnerable. so they weigh the cost of renting water tight locks against the loss they would incur if they used the weak locks. if the loss is less than the cost of acquiring strong locks like 1deto, they go for the weaker locks like bees while knowing someone will take advantage of its weakness

so you are not keeping any secret from the broadcaster whatsoever because when they were choosing bees they knew what they were signing up for.
