New Bird Alert!
Hipasat 30W - 6 to be launched on 25th Feb 2018. Our friends in West Africa might find it benefitial. Unfortunately the furthest we can go westwards here in E.Africa is 22W

What r the goodies...8w c band is the best sat on west
I have had this StarSat SR-2000HD Hyper since 2016.
Yes it has all features you can think of plus more. It is only let down by its tuner with its poor sensitivity compared to 4922.
Otherwise it's auto-roll function is the best I have seen so far. It auto-rolls all available keys like PV, BISS, Order, Tandberg, etc. For example I can watch Son*y, Te*n, cnbc @ 68e also some OSN*, Pehla*, on Nilesat, and some BB channels @ 36e.
It is of course made in China (where else?) and naturally PVR compatible.
Has better picture and sound compared to SRT 4922.
The new StarSat SR-2000HD Extreme HEVC seems to be the new replacement for the Hyper.
Ku band yes . C band NOIs Eutelsat 8 West B @ 8° West receivable by 6 ft prime focus
What dish size are you using for 34WHere in Kampala we can easily receive 34W and slightly beyond for especially those in Fort Portal.
I have always thought we are in E. Africa.
180cm PF Eurostar dish with Stargold SG-5000K to get both AFN and MTN (Sports 24HD)What dish size are you using for 34W
Someone is wrong here.180cm PF Eurostar dish with Stargold SG-5000K to get both AFN and MTN (Sports 24HD)
Thanks dude, gonna try it once I'm back home.
However,I'm interested with RT Doc.
Am not interested either. am just in the rat race at 57E for news channels plus it feels good when your soccer fan friends are talking abt last weekend big game and you have a rough idea. But soccer guys are making life very hard . the only reason they tighten encryption is to prevent live soccer leakageSo after all I am not the only one who is not interested in soccer?
Someone is wrong here.
Sorry for your obviously wrong theory.
I have been on that position for more
than 2 years for my Sports 24HD reception.
Ask any independent installer in Kampala.
They are familiar with this alternative if the
East side is inaccessible.
First you track NTA channel tp 3926 L 3775
and maximize the signal quality to at least 85%
then blind scan. Signal for NTA here is very
strong and even an amateur can get it even with
a cheap C-Band LNBF. This fact alone is enough
to prove reception of Intelsat 35e @ 34.5° West. The rest of the channels, you have to really work hard at tweaking your LNB to bring them in.
Ok satbeam guys are wrong then . But am yet to see anyone report receiving 34W in KenyaSorry for your obviously wrong theory.
