Somebody educate me; SRT 4955 has this "TV ANT IN" port at the back suggesting the decoder can receive Terrestrial Signals via ordinary tV antenna (presumably, that is what the port is for)
But all of this decoder's screen interfaces do not have any screen where Terrestrial channels can be scanned or accessed
Does it work as a terrestrial receiver too or what is the purpose of this port?

That tv in port is only a loop for TV eriol ,

When you want to combine decoder rf out signals and terrestrial signals ,your tv should has Dtv/Atv

Don't understand. It already has an RF out. Where presumably it outputs Radio Frequency (RF) to be received by analogue TV set.
But this "TV ANT In" seems to be an input Port for something I don't understand

If you want to understand more about, take 1meter of a cable ,then connect rf out from decoder your tv ant in(screen) ,go to tv menu input ATV ,search, you will get your channels from the decoder, if your TV is digital connect your eriol from outside the house to the decoder TV in (port) go to TV (screen) menu search ,your channels in 1list(sat/terrestrial)

I cannot track the channels on my freesat v7

On your V7 combo remote control
-go to menu
-terrestial installation
-auto search
-dont forget to put your aerial wire to rf in

My old school open box v 8 combo for for t2 and non PV channels, Big Machine SRT 4950 H for PV goods.
Two reasons why i keep still keep them is the Sound and Picture quality ,not many STB's in the market can much the two old school machines in sound and picture quality, full HD.

You will sweat with a 6ft to bring it home. 8ft recommended. I am using 4950, 4955 & V7
