....now what do you set as ports for the various LNBs on the decoder settings?I successfully managed to combine 3 disecq switches, i.e. two 4x1 switches to an 8x1 switch. The two 4x1 switches carry 8 birds scattered in 3 dishes. I then connected the two switches to two ports of the 8x1 switch, which ideally should be connected to the receiver.
Instead of connecting directly to the receiver, I split the signal using a 1x2 signal splitter and connected the split signals to a 4950H and a V7 combo. The results were impressive. No loss of even 1% of the signal. Here is a pdf document I created of the connection. Viva FTA
Yes, you can use a 1x8 splitter but I think such a split may compromise the signal.On a further inquiry msanii Gich instead of using a dual splitter can I use 8 way splitter and split the signal to eight different decoders.
Secondly if I use more than two four way diseq at the start can I feed the remaining ports of the eight way diseq.

Tried the one for 50H (V. 4.00) and did not like the results. I had to go back to 3.58There are new softwares on Crosat for 4950E/H/M. Someone could try.
what means Lhb handAlso you will have to determine the angle between the Lhb hand and the dish. Any angle works, even if you put it in the prime position, you will milk the sky.

Seems Discovery S9HD supports 4K HEVC of which is a plus for me.
