1000 Armed Blacks March on Stone Mountain
A heavily-armed black militia group marched through Georgia's Stone Mountain state park on Saturday, demanding the removal of one of the country's largest Confederate monument.
The group, calling itself the 'Not F***in Around Coalition' (NFAC) also challenged far-right groups like the Boogaloo Bois and Three Percenters to come and face them on Independence Day. The huge quartz Confederate monument near Atlanta, Georgia, features the carvings of Robert E Lee, Jefferson Davis and Thomas J "Stonewall" Jackson.
The site is a notorious meeting place for the Ku Klux Klan, which was "reborn" on Stone Mountain in 1915. Park officials said the protest, which involved around 200 individuals, passed peacefully, adding that they respected the group's First Amendment right to gather in the state park.
