Zimbabwean Minister Barbara Rwodzi has been named Tourism Minister of the Year (Africa) at ITB Berlin 2026 in Germany, officially hosted by Angola. The event, celebrating its 60th anniversary, focuses on sustainable tourism, AI in travel, and industry growth.
Zimbabwe was also recognized as Destination of the Year – Natural Wonders, highlighting attractions like Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park, Matopos, the Eastern Highlands, and the Kariba-Bumi Hills-Mana Pools region. Zimbabwe Tourism Authority CEO George Manyaya represented the country at the event.
