Why not the government just abolish A-level education?

Hello,

I’m observing the trends of some O-level graduates ditching A-level selections for NACTVET.

Some have 9 A’s. What went wrong in A-level ?

Shouldn’t the MoE scrap A-level subjects or merge it somewhere in NACTVE and University curriculum?

Major reason has been ‘That level is a wastage of time’

Are the MoE guys aware of this?

Tuseme nia yako ya msingi ni kuwa holder wa md degree. Advance 2 yrs, uni 5 jumla 7.
Diploma CO 3 yrs, uni 5 jumla 8 yrs.
-- njia ya adv. ni fupi zaidi
-- njia ya adv. academically ina mtayarisha kijana vizuri zaidi kumudu masomo ya degree.
--diploma ni njia ndogo tu ya kuelekea md au degree yeyote.

Kufuta a level yawezekana lakini itahitaji marekebisho kwenye mtaala wa elimu na usishangae miaka ya ujumla ikabakia ile ile. Zambia kwa mfano o level yao ni kama miaka 11/12 na uni 6/7. Kenya wamechukua mkondo huo huo.

Wengi wetu tunachanganya sababu za kuwa na degree na ile ya diploma.

Si kweli tunakwenda kwa malengo. Ni wengi tu wenye ufaulu unaoruhusu kudahiliwa advance lakini wana opt kwenda diploma.
