As a Liverpool supporter, I have all reasons to believe that having Rafael Benitez back as a coach at Liverpool is crucial to turn around and bounce back to be among the Premier league's top sides. Rafael Benitez had achieved several success at Liverpool while the club was in financial critical conditions under the ownership of Tom Hicks and George Gillet. To mention few is the 2005 Champions league trophy, 2006 FA Cup trophy and he came close to clinching the Premier league title in 2008 finishing just four points behind winners Manchester United losing only two games throughout the entire EPL season. He achieved all of this while being allocated very little funds for signing quality players to strengthen the squad. In most cases he had to sell players before he can buy others. Yes the club was in a big debt, but without enough funds to sign quality players is very difficulty to perform well in a competitive league as EPL. Kenny Daglish spent over pound 100M but still finished eighth, with his signings failing to make a greater impact. If Rafael Benitez, is brought back and given about pound 75M for new signings, with the fact that he wont be new to the club, Liverpool will bounce back to be among the Premier League's elites. I know there are other quality managers like Laurent Blanc, Marcelo Bielsa, Jurgen Klopp,Andre Villas Boas but Rafael Benitez will be the ideal man for Anfield future.
