Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi NUP Deputy President of the Buganda region
These reports cannot be dismissed lightly.
Many of us have gone through similar ordeals at the hands of this regime and were deliberately hidden from the public until our wounds and the evidence of torture had faded.
While the regime keeps the country distracted with endless diversions, it’s now 13 days since our Deputy President of the Buganda region was abducted in broad daylight and since then, he has never been seen again.
Neither the police nor the army have accounted for his whereabouts.
Some government officials claim that Hon. Muwanga kivumbi wasn't "abducted" , but rather arrested, if it's so as they alleg, then they should do so basing on the constitution of Uganda which states clearly that " Anyone arrested must be informed immediately of the reason for their arrest in a language they understand, given access to a lawyer and next of kin, treated humanely, and brought before a court within 48 hours. If not produced in court within that time, the arrest becomes unlawful, and remedies like police bond or habeas corpus apply. "
Ugandans therefore demand government's response regarding this issue as soon as possible !!!
