Here are some of the lessons pointed-out:
1. HR is not your friend.
2. The people who get promoted are not always the most qualified.
3. Nepotism will get you far.
4. Being visible with higher-ups will also get you far.
5. Sometimes if you’re too good at your job, you won’t be able to move departments.
6. Diversity in upper levels still has a way to go.
7. It’s very easy to get too comfortable with benefits and yearly bonuses or raises.
8. Loyalty is not valued.
