Akithibitisha habari hiyo OCPD wa Kasarani Robinson Mboloi amesema ajali hiyo imetokea baada ya lori lililokuwa limebeba matofali kupoteza mwelekeo na kugonga basi dogo la abiria lililonga vizuizi vya barabara na kisha lori hilo kuanguka na kutua kwenye basi hilo lenye uwezo wa kubeba abiria 14

Seven people have died and several others injured after a grisly road accident on Thika-Nairobi superhighway on the stretch between GSU headquarters and East African Breweries Limited, Nairobi Police boss Japheth Koome said.
Confirming the incident, Kasarani OCPD Robinson Mboloi said the accident occurred after driver of a lorry carrying building bricks lost control and hit a minibus which hit rail guards, then overturned landing on a 14-seater Nanyuki-bound matatu.
Mboloi said police have launched investigations to establish the exact cause of the accident, as the injured have been rushed to various hospitals for treatment.
Police temporarily closed the section of the road affected by the accident to attend to injured victims.
