At this moment we are very sure that even with the stringent measures put in place, the numbers will still rise. Covid-19 has become part of us now. The best thing is to come up with ways of preventing ourselves from contracting the virus wherever we are. We are also supposed to keep on looking for its remedy. Curfews and cessations have not bore any visible fruits yet. The numbers are still rising day in day out.
Magufuli's school of thought says that we need to continue with our daily activities as we check the government's directives. The same school is also keen on following the testing process, and is very alert to listening to what the world is saying. The test kits were termed faulty after several fake samples were deliberately mixed with the real ones through Magufuli's directive. This was a clever move to find out whether the staffs are doing their jobs diligently or whether the kits are faulty.
Magufuli has been listening to what the world is talking about and he was ready to send a cargo plane to Madagascar to fetch the said Covid-19 cure. This is a clever move also, for he will not only help the infected but also the affected in his country. If we take him positively we can find a sense in whatever he is doing.
Cases will still rise but the big question is, "how well are we prepared for the rise?" We are supposed to look for a concrete solution. This has to be done as we progress with our daily lives precautiously. Our government is not able to feed its citizens in case of a lock down. Through the lockdowns and curfews, the ordinary citizens who are the majority suffer.
How can we fight this pandemic without laying down oppressive measures? People are already suffering. With the increase in the number of reported cases, according to the trending measures, there will be stricter restrictions. This will affect the common man a great deal, and emotional violence will be witnessed after some time.
People need the basic needs to survive and with no means to get them it is predictable with certainty that worse will happen. They will try to get the needs forcefully. By use of force to survive, caution will no longer be a necessity and more people will contract the deadly virus. More resources will be required to deal with the cases that will have cropped up.
Our leaders need to open their eyes and follow Magufuli's footsteps.
