The Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) is an autonomous
Government Agency established by the Act of Parliament No. 1 of 1994. VETA is
responsible for regulating, coordinating, financing and providing Vocational Education
and Training in Tanzania. VETA is an equal opportunity organization.
The Authority is looking for qualified, competent, dynamic and committed Tanzanians to
fill the following vacancies:

1.0. Director of Assessment and Certification (VETA HQ) Re - Advertised
The successful candidate shall be responsible for planning, organising, directing
and controlling examination/assessment and certification functions by
implementing policies, guidelines and procedures, and administer Vocational
Education and Training assessment and certification processes nationally.

Knowledge and Skills required
i. Masters Degree in Vocational and Technical Education or Masters of
Education or equivalent.
ii. Minimum of 9 years working experience in the relevant field out of which 6
years working in a Senior Managerial position.
iii. Should be IT literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Access, Power
Point, Internet and email.
iv. Possession of knowledge on management of examinations is an added
advantage.

years working in a Senior Managerial position.

monitoring and implementing financial policies, systems and procedures and
ensure that acceptable and prudent financial management and accounting
standards are in place in order to sustain VETA operations and hence contribute
to the achievement of overall organisation goals and objectives.

equivalent.
ii. Must be registered with NBAA.
iii. Minimum of 9 years working experience in the Finance and Accounting fields
out of which 6 years working in a senior managerial position.
iv. Should be IT literate in accounting packages.
v. Knowledge of Navision Accounting package is an added advantage.
